It did. They shaved $1.35 off of the price, they just didn’t disclose it publicly. It was going to be $186.35 for the package but with the switch to foil, they did us a solid.

I personally don't care about wax. Just like @Affinity I don't want that extra mess, and most of the time wax is too much of a chore to deal with. I'm sure it's easier with a fancy wax cutter or whatever is out there...
It could be wrapped in a brown paper bag as long as it tastes the same. Give me better sealing caps ANY DAY!

Pretty sure better sealing caps and wax aren’t mutually exclusive. If not, I guess that means the waxes stouts like BBT are getting the worse caps. Not sure why everyone keeps talking about the caps like they impact wax in some way.

For every release I’ve seen on there, they have all been on the “BEER” page. I struck out too.

It's getting pretty obvious who actually wants to enjoy BBT and who wants to flip it for a profit...

I am thrilled to have scored this year's BBT package. I've been fortunate to have tried every BBT other than 2017 (first release), and they've all been tip of the spear for the style. Tete, Pulling Nails and La Ruche are all just icing on the cake.

I love these packages, and see no issue with this route by Side Project. It's not like they're shoving reg Dark Lords in there! I love 3Floyds still and some of the Dark Lord variants but if I had my preference, regular DLs would be optional at this point.

I don't order from there often enough to know where shit is - I live in Pittsburgh, but I report to St. Louis - obviously haven't been there in a while due to Covid, but I have friends that offered to proxy for me. I just fell down on the ordering part not knowing where to refresh. That was frustrating.

I'm moving to the Caribbean next year and I assure that despite living in "paradise" I'm going to be extremely jealous of Utah, much less St. Louis due to beer.

Bring me stouts in your luggage and you can sleep in our guest bedroom.

    Just kidding.

OK not entirely kidding. What quantity of stouts are we talking about?

Sorry, didn't me to imply they were. I just don't get what the deal is with loving wax so much? It adds nothing, other than pleasing to the eye. Not singling out SP at all, as so many breweries do it.

I hear you. I don’t really care one way or the other, and as noted, Waxing is a pain in the ass, so I get it. But, it just seemed like it came up 2 or 3 times that people would rather have “better caps and no wax” over “wax”. But there’s no reason you can’t have both. Obviously if given the opportunity, everyone will choose better caps. That’s common sense. If you’re that worried about the extra oxidation from wax or no wax you’ll either wax at home, tape at home, or wrap the tops in plastic wrap (yes, it is a thing). I just didn’t know why people were acting like the option was between wax or better caps. That’s not the option.

We're moving to Bonaire which has way better beer options than most Caribbean islands due to their ties to the Netherlands, so I'll FOMO less hard than I would elsewhere and might actually have access to Guinness level beer. As for stouts above 5% ABV; that'll still be tough to find.

On a related but completely unnecessary to include note, Kalik gold from the Bahamas is one of the worst beers ever.
