On the plus side, you’ll have access to some whiskey that is hard or impossible to find in the US, including some of the more rare Blantons. Should be able to do trades for what you want with that. (HINT HINT.)

Just a stone's throw away from Venezuela. TBH I'd be more excited about quality caipirinhas than the beer and bourbon market--gotta watch that figure with all that sun.

On a serious note, will you be farming salt?

    That’s a hell of a non-sequitur.

Sabtos clearly knows Bonaire; that's still a big industry for them. I'll be working part time, remote for my US company since that'll be about 100 times more pleasant than farming salt.

I don't remember seeing any rare whiskey there but I probably wasn't looking that closely either. It's true you never know what you'll find in the islands, the first restaurant I ever had Cantillon at was on Saba, an even tinier Dutch island.

Post BBT excitement, as an outsider who frequents this thread, I wanted to to circle back regarding the bottles in the Coco Vibes pack. Thank you again @fo1ksguitar for proxying.

I know the packs have their fans and detractors, but I could not have been happier with how the bottles turned out. I’ve drank the lot. I touched on Coco Vibes and Single Farm Nelson (I added this to my order) previously and recently drank Saison du Blé (Bl.#12) and Coeur de Cuvée (Bl.#7)

What stood out to me most, especially from the white label bottles, was how dialed in the acidity levels were. In my past drinking experiences with SP this has always been my biggest issue. Some 750s were a bit of a chore to get through as were some 375s (fruited). Still delicious, but the acidity was too much. That smaller format became a saving grace and made it much more manageable.

All that said, while I’ve been fortunate to have had BBT one time before (2019) and I’m excited to have it again, I’m sneaky excited about the other 3 bottles in the pack. If the acidity levels of this last pack are any indication of where it’s at now along with the flavor and structure of those bottles, I can’t wait for them to arrive.

I really love the packages. I have never tried Tete, and nearly picked up a bottle from a local, but elected to pass. Super excited to dive into the other three bottles in the BBT package.

Hope they continue to do packages.

    Splendid write up, @MattOC

I'm still high on finally landing BBT. Now I just gotta get Maman and Blue Ridge for my MO in-state whales (not to include some other SP rarities, but those don't have consistent release schedules).

I absolutely hate waxed bottles, so I hope they do away with it completely and that Perennial and others follow.

Anyone have any idea what crowds will be like anniversary week? I'm intending to go Tuesday and thinking about going Thursday. I want to avoid crowds and long lines, but at least the weather looks good for outdoors.

Not surprising, but didn't know if a weekday afternoon might be less crazy.

Next Wednesday will certainly be less crazy than next Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.

I was unlucky (if getting BBT can be such a thing) to get the first week too and was thinking that Wednesday would probably be easiest.....or maybe Sunday? I'm thinking later in the evening will be less crowded but who really knows, just avoid going at open is what I'm thinking.

I think BBT pickups are only Friday/Saturday/Sunday plus curbside Monday.

Since pickups are at the brewery and anniversary is at the cellar I’d imagine the brewery will be much quieter

I tried for the first weekend and had it in the cart and checked out and Poof. Sold Out. We’re talking less than 10 seconds. Very frustrating is an understatement.
