I feel like a total outsider on all this discussion related to Maple in the Wood, as it appears I'm the only person to *gulp* not find b1 enjoyable enough to pursue b2 . It was so sweet for me(and I like maple!) that I split the b1 bottle into three separate sessions over two days in order to finish it. Best of luck to those going for a bottle though. You'll have one less person competing.

 

The real question is how many bots do you run?

Cuvéed with whatever batch of CSV that was out at the same time was absolutely delicious. That was my drink on it’s release weekend.

It's most definitely MitW b2. That's it. Let's stop with the make believe.

Definitely isn't. It's the same batch of Anabasis technically, with extended aging.

No one's officially made that distinction with "DB" MitW, and I think that'd have been the first thing they'd have done.

 

But it's a double barrel version of it, might even include some of the original batch in the barreling. Not sure what you're getting at here.

 

Are there descriptions of the beer anywhere? I don’t see any on their site other than the name and it’s a private press collab. I don’t do the Facebook or Instagram so I’m not sure if there is one on those site that say exactly what DB MitW is. Otherwise if we are are just arguing based off of the name then...well that’s about on par for this forum

For the record I would like to buy said beer to drink said beer. But you’re right if proxy wasn’t an option. I wouldn’t make the 7 hr drive one way like I did for BBT

also for said reason I would like the beer to not be hyped because that makes it harder for me to get it.

 

I better see this type of “double barrel doesn’t mean anything” argument in every brewery’s thread from now on

 

This! I just drank my BBT that I drove in from out of town to get and I don’t regret it one bit.
