Circling back on CdC 9. I thought it was good, but really wouldn’t need to revisit. First pour defined it and let me know exactly what I was in for. Very aromatic. Quickly disappearing head. Huge candied citrus/tropical flavors, but also quite sour. One pour was certainly enough for me. I rarely drain pour a beer unless it’s truly off putting. This wasn’t that at all, but that second glass took much longer to finish than the first.

 

Finally getting around to drinking my bottle of Flambé. Really pleased with it. Reminds me a lot of coco vibes actually. Has the same smooth syrupy mouthfeel which i think most Side Project fans love. Banana is pretty mild compared to the coconut and chocolate. That might be a product of waiting so long to open it. It’s top tier for non BA pastry stouts. Very curious how this was fresh and how it would be in barrels. Can actually imagine rum barrels being really good but YMMV

 

Single Farm Motueka was killer. What a delightful beer. Popped it to hydrate during a whiskey tasting and it was a crowd favorite. I got significant stonefruit / white wine vibes from the hops. Nicely done, SP!

BBTR ‘20 and BBTR ‘22. ‘20 in the inside glasses, ‘22 on the outside.

Also had Bière Blanche Blend #4 before, which was excellent as I’ve always enjoyed it, and more so in the start of our heat wave.

I love both beers as well and I’ll probably get multiple packs but I don’t love the precedent this sets that even LC has to buy packages to get the big high ABV beers now
