I am excited. That said, that may be the first time I have ever seen 2-year old BA stout referred to as “youthful”.

Thanks for posting this so I have a chance. The Instagram went 21+ sign in so can’t see side projects Instagram anymore.

Opened a bottle of Continuance yesterday and want to share my thoughts - tip of the hat and Cheers to @MattOC for the in-thread reviews from an out-of-towner.

Pours as dark as a stout, low carbonation. The aroma is indicative of the flavor - quite a bit going on. There is a slight dark fruit/cherry element, along with a char and light smoke. I'm glad I had this after BBT, as it highlights what SP aims to do with their blending - the components do come though in the final product. Each sip allows for a new experience - roasty chocolate stout, rich malty barleywine, and the barrel elements.

It's clear to me that SP is operating on a different level than most breweries in the U.S. Well worth the price of admission.

I had one recently, unfortunately it wasn’t as good as the first batch I had that was excellent, I dunno where it went wrong but it was tough to drink, I didn’t finish it

Same thing happened to me. Got through a glass and had to drain pour the rest. First time I’ve ever had to do that with a SP beer.

Sucks you guys had such bad experiences.

I self-admittedly am not a sour-head, so I often don't spend the money on the beers I expect (or read reviews and determine) are likely to be pretty sour. That said, on a trip I made awhile back to AR I stopped at SP on the way through. I ended up picking up about a case for my sister/her friend of different beers. A few were the blueberry Flanders, and I ended up opening one for a friend (unexpectedly) that flew in for a project out of Oregon. I actually enjoyed the beer, although admittedly more sour than I prefer. But I only had about 1/3 of a 375ml. Everyone that tried it seemed to enjoy it, but no one else that tried it has had SP (non beer nerds).

The fact that this batch is 'not good' just gives credence to how good they normally are, since this batch did not bother me.

I take it that’s b1? All 3 are very different. Twcp is nuts!

my buddy picked up that cherry funk you mentioned to, it was non existent fresh, I wonder if that has evolved since it’s release. I got one on deck so I’ll find out soon enough

Taking the lead from @MattOC, thanks for getting us started.

Gin barrel Saison du Fermier is an absolute juice monster. Imagine a kiwi exploding in the sunny delight factory and you’re there. This is a treat and I hope the Side Project team keeps playing with gin barrels.

Obviously a tight competition but that was my second favorite SP saison I had last year after only Oude Fermier. The description is spot on. I'd love to see more of their classics get the gin barrel treatment.

I’ll drop a review when I crack it

the first bottle I had tho was so incredible, infact it was beer of 2021 for me. Just perfectly done for my palate. I’m hoping this bottle will be the same!

I really don't need to be spending more money, but curious to see what this package contains.

I'll be refreshing the page at 10:30, but I may go hide my credit card.

I opened up one of my 3 Blueberry Flanders, & couldn’t even finish the glass. It was way too acidic for me, & I’m not one that usually happens to…

I ended up gifting the other two bottles for Xmas presents. Hopefully they will enjoy them more than I.

With that said, please don’t have it in the package today, haha.

At this point I'm just really crossing my fingers they don't have enough Flanders to fill packages. That beer just isn't for me.

Fermier, on the other hand, would be an exciting bundle.
