Yep from past experience if there’s still inventory online then you can still fulfill your order
i didn’t know if you meant a 100% BA Shared (Vibes) 750mL… because i would agree that those days are done. BACSV 2017 was the only one i can think of where they didn’t blend like they would a BBT or a Derivation. to my knowledge that was the Vibes recipe aged in bourbon barrels and then conditioned on coffee. BA CSV 2020 went a different route where they actually tasted through their barrel stock and blended from there. both BA Ambientes have gone this route and BA CV was even blended with Elipses… recipe.
Isn't Vibes the Derivation #4 recipe so technically this is just a grey area?
I do not think there are really separations between the breweries other than Side Project being all oak aged while Shared is "simpler" beers but also some oak aged.
Tete packages have arrived. Bundled with CdC 10 for $90.
not sure about that… D4 reads as if it’s a blend of 2 recipes:
Blend of an Oatmeal Imperial Stout Aged 22 months in 11-year old Willett Barrels & a Munich Malt-based Imperial Stout Aged in 18 Months in Elijah Craig 12 year barrels. The blend was then aged on Madagascar Vanilla Beans.
i was thinking the vibes was a “Shared” thing. it’s also the only imperial stout recipe listed / described as a Russian imperial stout.
I had in my head that the Vibes base was originally the D3 base stout but had changed over time. Not sure on that though
i have my doubts about that too as D3 was used in both BBT rye blends and was called “D3 recipe” (except he mentioned leaving out the rye malts that were used in Derivation b3)
hopefully its like last year with other killer beers. i actually havent gotten pn15 or single farm yet, might have to soon but was hoping they would be in a pack lol
so much for me instagram notifications!
*my - since I can't spell
i don’t think there was one! think it was a silent drop.
I thought i saw one when I looked after seeing this, but it's not there any more. either it got taken down or i'm losing my mind. most likely the later!
There was one and it did get taken down. Along with a standalone post about Single Farm earlier
The Zuck is back in full force
apparently he doesn’t like saisons
yea i think hes more of a hard seltzer guy
oh damn looks like tete was pulled from the store? or did it sell out?
99% sure it didn't sell out. They pulled it.
add it to the BBT packages
Stunned myself. I’ve never had any Grisette blends/batches.
It's an underrated gem in my humble opinion
Your humble opinion is a hard fact, kind sir.
Cory said the bottle of Batch 1 he brought in was the last bottle he had. Really cool to taste through 5 vintages with blend 6 also being on tap
oh nice! which did u like the best?
Probably batch 1. Held up really well considering it’s 8 years old. 2 had absolutely no acidity. Just straight up oak. 3 had a bit of oxidation. 4 and 5 were pretty similar but solid
the dry-hopped version was better than any blend of regular grisette i’ve had.
ISO BBT news
ISO Fuzzy news
Welcome to BA! You must be new here. It helps if you list some of your FTs.
You’ll definitely need to add more. Just trying to help.
I’m still waiting to hear more about green wax / b3 Continuance. Gotta know what happened to the rest of the Anabasis barrel stock
You must have worked very hard to avoid gris after all this time.
I figured it would have been one of the first beers I was introduced to with SP, but surprised when I checked that I had had none.
On my way to drink lager and see a SP IG notification from a half hour ago as I get off of my bike. Heart sank…
Just some barrel teasing.
hopefully this one actually gets released to-go!
we also got double anabasis that im hoping to see soon too!
No port barrel please
Dunno how you’ll feel about Continuance 3
Terminus rye is incredible! Bourbon is good too but the rye just bangs! Kinda wish I had it side by side with rye bbt
