You can laugh now, but some weirdo in a DeLorean pulled up in front of my house recently to warn me that in 2033, the aftermath of WWIII will only leave a handful of survivors in a desolate hellscape...

...and the Side Project 20 Year Barleywine came out in the largest bottle size still being produced by the brewery: a 50 mL airplane bottle. It still had the hologram and wax treatment, at least.

 

Sheeesh. These events are wild. Side Project pretty much saying “you are going to give me your fucking money, and there isn’t a damn thing you can do about it”.

 

Single Thread 2023 is great. I was nervous it was gonna be way too sour and actually tried trading it. So glad I held on to it. Restrained acidity and just a delicious funky wine-y berry flavor

 

Totally agree, on both initial concern and pleasantly surprising results

 

I’m liking that 10 candles is a double of 5 candles.

Hopefully that means D18 is double maple & double cinnamon D9.

 

Yea I think 2 thoughtful amounts of cinnamon is way better then one!

here’s the million dollar question: will 2023 BBT be 375 or 750mL?

 

Neither.

 

I’ll be sad AF if they decide to move EVERYTHING to 375s. BBT has been a 750 and is a special share bottle for me, but, we’ve all heard the 50/50 preferences of sharing (750) versus non-sharing (375) or less sharing. Those 375s should be for the elite releases in my mind.

Two bottle bundles for $100. The $65 750ml and a $35 375ml.

 

This would sell out quickly, I think. Two separate bundle options of BBT paired with saisons/sours seems more likely.

Is it too much to hope there isn't a price increase this year on BBT packages? I'd be OK with it if there were 2 375ml bottles instead of 1 750, but otherwise, god I hope there isn't a price increase.

Is it too BIG to dream that it will be packages with just two ~$40 sours, and we could keep the overall price to ~$150?
