Was hoping to stop by tonight and try BBT 2023, but it's not on draft anymore. Bummer.

 

Yeah Kevin I get a stupid shopify code every single time I simply login to the LC page as well. And I (along with my buddy) have to login to shopify two times every time I log in. The shopify code at login and the strange loop requiring multiple sign ins for LC started 3-4 months ago.

 

Regarding Silent Barrels:

When the Silent Barrels say that they are OWK or MJK, doesn't that refer to the RECIPE and not the actual designation of the liquid inside? By that, I mean, isn't the OWK just a BA stout, and not a BA stout with tons of vanilla? And isn't MJK defined by the tripple barreling, so the MJK silent barrel is really just the "MJK barleywine recipe"?

Right. But in terms of that trade post, it is posted as if you’re getting MJK, not a single barrel barleywine-barreled recipe. Big difference.

A similar one was made for OWK. Sounds like you’re getting OWK, but all you’re getting is a BA stout.

 

Well seeing as you can't un-barrel a beer I think it's pretty clear that it refers to the recipe for MJK that has only gone through a single barrel and not the triple barrel treatment which is why it is being released under the silent barrel line and not as MJK

If this is anything like Saugatuck's Neapolitan Stout, I'm going to be thrilled. That beer is one of my favorite dessert stouts.

All 3 flavors are amazingly identifiable without it becoming a syrupy, pastry mess.

Fruited stouts generally aren't my thing but I remember really enjoying some of the fruited stouts from Main & Mill before their quality went to shit. Excited to try this new Parfait.

 

Has anyone tried it? I wish the window would go past the release so we could get some feedback from reviews

Now that we’re getting a Neapolitan SP stout which was at one point “never going to happen,” it’s time to give the people what they want:

i’ve said forever now that they should be more playful with the vibes series. vanilla vibes, cinnamon/vanilla vibes, vanilla/coffee vibes, etc.. put ‘em in 12oz cans 2pks.

(would also be down for peanut butter vibes though but when my brother asked Tommy about it years ago he said “that’s never gonna happen.”)
