Shin Shin was awesome.

 

I'll be in tomorrow from VA. We should be there around 5:30. Are we better off going to the Cellar first or to the main SP Taproom? First time for me and my friends being there.

 

The Brewery is closed tomorrow and Thursday. Shared will be open, but the special stuff will be at the Cellar.

 

Main brewery taproom is not open on Thursdays and all stout week events are held at the cellar.

 

I’ll defer to the locals.

I’d check both lists leading up and make your call that way. Edit, brewery closed.

Given the event start 3pm at The Cellar and the bottles for the event, DB Ana BBT vert, I’d imagine you’d miss out on some of those arriving midway through. It was still quite busy at The Cellar at 530.

That said, Shin Shin is only on at The Cellar and it’s 4 kegs total per Cory last night, but it’ll still be flowing in the evening. I was surprised/not surprised when I strolled around the corner to The Cellar and saw a strong line already that extended into the parking lot.

Cellar. as others have stated Brewery Tasting Room does not have hours of operation tomorrow and even Fri-Mon i’m guessing the cellar will be more lit than the brewery.

What's the best time to show up? An hour early or more?

 

Stout Week is all week at The Cellar. I’d focus your attention there.

I arrived a hour early and stood 99% of the time. I was able to sit for my last two beers-draft of D10 and Shin. All the tables and bar areas were snapped up by those at the front of the line. As I mentioned, some were there a lot earlier than I was.

If you’re with a few people/group even if you arrive a hour or two early, you may be SOL for seats.

 

Pretty sure it's cellar the whole week. I'll defer to a local on the best time.

 

Should also be said that there is plenty of outdoor seating at the cellar. With it being so nice out today there may be something available there.

 

Was talking with a fellow Ba, and both of us a lukewarm of the VW BBT package, given the price of the package, the price of the BBT, and obviously that it’s only a 375. I have no doubt it will insta sell, just curious if anyone else out there is in the same boat.

 

Is the price announced?

 

Members said the BBT was $60 by itself, so based on past sales of the 2 white labels, and past price of Loam #1, the current guess/estimate is $130 all in.

 

I am sitting this one out.
