Have no doubt that all the beers in the package are outstanding, but I'm also sitting this one out. Hard to explain why, but the big format price for the small format bottle doesn't help.

Feels like I'll be happier investing that money into more SdF anyway.

 

I fall into this category with you as well. I was one of the lucky ones to score a BBT 2022 package and thought BBT 22 was great! However, I do not drink wild ales or saisons. So now I have 3 bottles I do not know what to do with. I think as long as SP continues packaging BBT with 3 additional wilds/saisons, I will continue to pass.

Interestingly, the page shows "1 package per transaction," similar to the BBT sale last time. I couldn't believe there'd be that much of it, especially with LC members having the ability to purchase 1 and a package before it went to the public.

 

Much as I'd like to try the VW BBT, I'm sitting this one out too. I'm sure it's outstanding, but just isn't worth the tick to me at that price point and with the other bottles. If it were a 750ml at the same price, I'd be on it. At least I know my limit now.

 

I'll sell you mine. I only got the package for the BBT. I'm mostly a stout guy anyway

Desktop, mobile, incognito, ShopPay, different cards...doesn't matter. It errors out everytime as if it's sold out, but doesn't seem to be.

Won't process anymore. Told my buddy the same thing and wouldn't go through. Tried on a 2nd card for fun and got the same result.

I feel this sentiment has been re-hashed SO MANY times now on this SP thread. The package is just not worth it after you factor in proxy fees and shipping. It's also ridiculous to give 3 750mL saisons for a tiny 375mL stout. Cory has said that it's because "we" want it that way, but we all know he just wants to move inventory of things that don't sell as well. Which is fine, but come on, at least make the packages more reasonable like 1 750mL Saison for a 375mL stout, or 2 750mL saisons for a 750mL stout. Most people I know have not been going for the packages, and I haven't gone for anything since Continuance 1.

But alas, as a believer in the free market, I think the market does eventually adjust. Stuff may not sell out instantly or at all (i.e Parallels, VWBBT, BBT22) going forward. If things aren't selling out, I'm sure Cory will adjust and probably reduce the package size (hopefully).

Why would Cory feel a need to adjust just because it's selling out in 20 min. versus 20 seconds? It's the same amount of profit either way.
