When they dedicate energy to the sides they can be fantastic. There’s a place in the boonies over here that has my favorite ribs, but the sides are incredible. They make killer beans, chili, Mac n cheese and corn bread. I appreciate it when the sides are great, it helps feed the wife and kids who are much less bbq eaters than I am. I gotto order the cornbread every time

Cornbread can be really amazing when done well. Personally, I’ve grown quite accustomed to Louisiana-style cornbread, which is usually made in a cast iron pan and a bit more firm/crusty/crumbly than many versions further north, that tend to be more bread/cake like. I also love the “fried” flavor that the cornbread gets in a cast iron pan from heating it in a 450-degree oven for 30-60 minutes before immediately adding bacon fat and the batter.

The heartiness of the cornbread is what allows it to stand up to local favorites like “cornbread and milk”, which is just microwaved (leftover) cornbread, sprinkled with sugar, a little butter, and cool milk poured over top. There’s another recipe or two that have similar elements that I am blanking the name on. Similarly, this heartiness is what allows it to stand up to something like “Ham and Beans (“soup”)”. It’s also a favorite of ours as a side to Red Beans and Rice.

Same, and I don’t even like cornbread that much.

Our fam falls that johnnycake, though I know others think of that more like a pancake shape. It varies.

After having D9 again today: All the recent high ratings are insane.

Is it still drinkable? Yes, but the adjuncts fell off big time. To be expected with a 4.5 year old maple/cinnamon stout, but it’s definitely a shell.

I agree but with the D3. Definitely showing it’s age a bit. Still tasty though.

    You shut your ***** mouth.

(while it may be true it’s not what it once was, it’s still the GOAT so it deserves the Untappd bumps)

This type of aggression should really be saved for beers that are actually bottled.

Is there really an argument here? D9 has cinnamon so it's automatically not allowed to be the GOAT

Pappy's was awesome. We hit them before heading to the Arch. We were all very impressed by it.
    Heard Bogarts was better also.

I need to go try Shin Shin, but I'll tell you when I went to TG release KBBS 19> KBBS 20> KBBS 21>KBBS Reserve>KBBS 22. Newer vintages were less maple/sweet and coffee, but not in a good coffee flavor.

Is it possible to NOT have gotten an email from Side Project notifying you that your order was picked up if it was indeed picked up? Proxy said they picked up my order but I never got an email from Side Project that the order was completed.

You can look on your side project account and see if it was filled or not as well. But if no email received I’d guess it will still say open on the account as well.
