I've never been there for stout week, but already was supposed to be in StL the week after - guessing none of this will bleed through to then?

I would literally do that tonight if they still offered it and I lived within 90 minutes of a White Castle. Wife wouldn't even have to come... Just a little ME time.

I doubt bottles will bleed through, but any keg that doesn’t blow will most likely stay on would be my guess.

Wish I would have tried White Castle in it's heydey, but their stuff now is disgusting. Reminds me of some sort of spam based paper thin pucks. Especially since locally we have an old school place that makes that style burger fresh with tons of onions, and real nicely too.

Since we are on the topic of regional meat delicacies…I think @not2quick coukd hook you up with a ground beef and onion sandwich. I’ll gladly take some Spam instead. :sunglasses:

I’ve had many a White Castle throughout the years. They’re pretty much the same as they’ve always been, just more expensive. So if you don’t like them now, you probably wouldn’t have decades ago either. I personally think they’re delightful.

STL is more of a fried brain sandwich city. I'd definitely eat a cannibal sandwich though. I love raw meat.

I was there, it was a lot of fun. Just enough people to fill the long bar with a few overflow, Cory brought out a few old bottles (D7 and Merci 2). Plenty of beer to keep things going until they cut it off at 4, mostly lambics and stouts. Sounds like they are currently thinking about doing them quarterly but I'm sure that will depend on how they felt it went this weekend. I hope they continue!
