Still have many left and will work my way through them in the coming weeks but for anyone interested here's my thoughts:

    1. No Middle Ground - while I am not a regular coffee drinker I do enjoy pretty much coffee anything and I really enjoyed this.
    2. Flipside - I miss this beer and the malts are the star here. I wish there were more Red IPAs, as I find that I enjoy pretty much every one I have ever tried. If SN made this a seasonal beer or something again I would definitely buy it, just as I did when it was a seasonal.
    3. Know Good - Just a simple easy drinking IPA.
    4. Tropical Torpedo - Have had it a few times and just okay to me. I would choose it over regular Torpedo but neither are my favorite really.

this was the most unique of the four in the box. it's not my favorite but i wanted to give it a try as i never had coffee ipa before. it was unique and the flavors formed a marriage I didn't think would work as the hop and coffee flavors are each so bold.

I don't generally buy the mixed 12 packs, because I have enough homebrewed beer to get me through, but when I saw the Flipside, I had to pick it up.

I tried the Flipside last night and it was just as good as I remembered. Looking forward to trying the other 3 that I haven't yet.

Speaking of Sierra Nevada- A friend of mine is in London and just shot me a pic of the bottling date of a SNPA, the date was 2/08/2018. That's today. Do they use "best by" dates in Europe?? Or maybe they use a date a couple weeks out from actual bottling date knowing it'll take a while to get there? What gives? I'd post the pic but never really figured out how to do that...

Haven't you heard? They use same-day air to fly beer to Europe. Planes with special refrigeration chambers, too.

International dating is dd/mm so maybe your friend got a prototype for the August 2nd 2018 bottling,?

Flipside is so good, I realized how much I missed this beer after being able to have it again.

Well, you were close. A SN rep got back to me- European distributors require a best by date to be a year after packaging. So a 02/08/2018 date was packaged Aug 8, 2017. So my buddy didn't have the freshest beer in the world, but at least SN beers hold their own better than any other brewery that I know of and the beer was probably thoroughly enjoyed.

So I picked this variety pack up from Costco, at least I thought I did but the beer I wanted (middle ground coffee) was not in the pack. I was thinking middle ground was know good for some reason so I bought it. The middle ground coffee had been replaced by Torpedo. Now I like Torpedo but what I really wanted was No middle ground. If they put Torpedo in to replace Tropical Torpedo it'd be a bad ass variety pack. But instead they took away middle ground. Anyone know why? Because this really was why I bought it.

From what I have seen on here the 12 pack has the No Middle Ground and the 24 pack has Torpedo. I'm glad I saw the 12, as I would have passed on the one with Torpedo.

Only a guess, but I would assume the reason is simply that not enough of the coffee IPA was brewed for the quantities needed for the club-store pack (case as opposed to 12-pack). Always plenty of Torpedo available to substitute...

I liked the pack. I never thought coffee and citrus hops would work, for me, but Stone opened my mind to that, with theirs. From the '12' pack version, the tropical was my least favorite, although, I liked it. The first time they put it out, maybe 2-3 years ago, I dug it more, IIRC.

Yeah I should've read the entire box. See I read about this pack on here and when I saw it I just assumed it was the same. Just wish they could've dropped tropical and kept middle ground.

I bought a 12 pack of this a few weeks ago. I thought the know middle ground coffee ipa was interesting and pretty good. know good ipa is average, and I've always like flipside,. Tropical torpedo isn't my favorite but it's still good. In my opinion overall this 12 pack is worth trying.
    Glad I bought it.
