I've got nothing but the utmost respect for Sierra Nevada. Their beers were the first truly outstanding I ever tasted, and are still in my fridge to this day.

Favorite - Northern Hemisphere Harvest Ale.

Also like their Pale Ale, Torpedo, Porter, Stout, Narwhal, Hoptimum, Celebration, Ruthless Rye, and Bigfoot.

Celebration is arguably my favorite beer overall not just from SN. But I am new to the sport. If I ever tire of wanting to try beers for the 1st time and settle in for a regular all-the-time favorite, it will probably be a SN beer.

I really miss Glissade, that was an awesome beer. I always look forward to Summerfest and Celebration.
Their stout is great and Narwhal was delicious as well.

Love: Celebration, Torpedo, Pale Ale, Hoptimum, Bigfoot, Estates, Narwahl, Kellerweis
    Okay: Ruthless
    Meh: Tumblr, Summerfest

    I think that's all I've tried.
Even with all the great breweries in Ohio and nearby, SN remains near the top of my list for overall production, price, and availability.

IMO...SN is like your teddybear, You may not use it for a while but it's always there to comfort you when you need it.

(SIDENOTE) Comparing beer to teddybears proves how manly and secure you are...look it up

SNPA was really the 1st beer that tasted special to me (after years of BMC). Bigfoot was the 1st beer that got me crazy into craft. I'll put Hoptimum up there with the best of the DIPA's (although I don't agree with others here that say its balanced as I find it a hoppy bitter punch in the face which I love). And Narwhal is a very good stout. Everything they do is quality but those are my favorites.

I'm still waiting to taste a DIPA that I enjoy more than Hoptimum. I'm sure there's something out there (haven't tried Pliny or Heady), but to have such a great beer available at such a great price is awesome. I love the old standbys, but it's great to see them constantly exploring new ground as well.

Not only are there beers amazing, but the company itself is great. They truly care about the community.

My favorites (too many to list, so here's a few):
Torpedo (if it were rare people would go nuts for it)
Summer Fest (best summer beer in my opinion)
    30th Anniversary- Fritz and Ken
    Celebration

As stated many times before, Sierra Nevada makes excellent beer at a great price. SNPA and Torpedo introduced me to this alternate dimension of beer drinking.

And I have to say that no matter how many stouts I try, I always have a spot in my heart for their stout. It's really good.

Hoptimum and celebration are my favorites.

Kellerweisse is also one of the American hefs around.

The French Style Saison is kickass. I wish they bottled it.

Also, I'm going to keep saying this in every SN related thread until sierranevadabill makes it happen: Can we get a GD mixed 12 of Torpedo, Pale Ale and Stout?!

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is pretty much my go to beer and my favorite pale ale. Its really hard to find fresh in Colorado though, six weeks old is the freshest I can find it.

Also, the 30th anniversary grand cru was incredible, you could identify the components of all three beers.

Can't pick just one. I love their entire line up and very reasonable prices. High quality beer for just a little $ more than BMC. Much love here for SN. I constantly buy SNPA & torpedo. And always make sure to pick up their seasonals or the occasional one off. Heck, these guys brew everything under the sun and do it all well.

Really? That's a pretty bold claim, and I'm not sure I could disagree any more.

That said, I do like their stout, Torpedo, and Celebration - especially for the price point. They aren't my favorite in their respective styles, and I think there are plenty of other breweries that do them better. But for the price, availability, and relative ease of finding a bottle that isn't half a year old, SN certainly has their place!

I have never been able to get into these guys.

Of their beers, the one beer that has made a strong, positive impression was the brandy barrel aged Ovila Quad. That was great. The rest, while never bad, just never had me leaving wanting seconds.

I love pretty much all their beers. The only complaint is with a lot of the beers in the taproom, the one off beers like Beer Camp and what not. It seems to me that they are afraid of really amping up the flavor components of the different ingredients; i.e.: cherries, apricots, peppercorns, etc...etc...Invariably, the description always touts the flavors of the ingredients but then when drinking the beer it is very very mellow. Kick it up a notch, SN! We want flavor!

They are from top to bottom the best, most consistant brewery around. They do IPA's just about perfect, especially Celebration. I reallly grew into liking the Kellerweis last summer. Just damn good at what they do.
