I recommend it. It's a great take on the style!

My fridge shall never lack SN Torpedo - nuff said. That said, I will doff my chapeau to their delicious imperial stout Narwhal!

Their hoppy beers hold up better than pretty much any other hop forward beer from any brewery I have tried. Had a near 3 month old Torpedo the other day and it very fresh and bright. I wonder how they do it.

Love all their beers. Phenomenal QC & Q/P ratio which is something to be said in this day and age of regional craft brewers.

In addition to the others mentioned, I thoroughly enjoy their "Northern/Southern Hemisphere" 24oz releases. Great price point, and great beer. Cheers to Sierra Nevada!

After a 17+ hour forced shift in Thursday into Friday I really wanted a beer when all was said and done and fortunately had some fresh Torpedo that totally hit the spot. Quite refreshing after all the events going on. Good thread!

But my favorite is still Celebration, well balanced and it has a ton of shelf life for an IPA

    Ruthless Rye gets my vote.

However when it comes to wheat styles (Witbier, Hefeweizen, Kristalweizen, Weizenbock) nobody in America does it correctly, not even SN, IMO.

I always dream about finding some that is only a couple weeks old and how good it would be... My recent purchase was almost 8 months old (on my way to a gathering, not much choice) and it was quite malty.

Bigfoot, hoptimum, celebration, ruthless rye and narwhal are all very good. Overall they produce very solid beers for the price and availability.

I can't argue with anything you said here. Ruthless Rye is just off, I almost taste celery in that beer. Besides that, most of their stuff is on point and unbeatable in value.

It's a tie between Hoptimum and Bigfoot. Both beers are amazing values and are among my favorites for their respective styles. I'd happily pay more than the asking price for either of them.

Oh, and my favorite one-off is the Black Barleywine from the 30th Anniversary series. Got one last bottle tucked away. Really wish they'd brew it again. And again and again...

I had some SN Blindfold Black IPA at a beerfest today that was pretty damn tasty. Keg only.

I had a customer come in the other night that just moved here to California from Colorado. He knew of New Belgium, but wasn't into craft beer very much. I picked his brain about Avery, Crooked Stave, Great Divide,...knew nothing about them. I had Rampant, Ranger, Fat Tire, and Cascara Quad on draft. I gave him a pint of Sierra Nevada Belgian-Style Blonde IPA and said, "You're in California now, you need to love Sierra Nevada." After tasting that beer, he loved Sierra Nevada. Mission:Complete.

In regards to Summerfest and Glissade, is it just that you don't like lagers?

Too hard to pick one so I'll say Narwhal, Celebration, and Tumbler. All SN beers have great consistent flavor, availability, and pricing.

Yeah, ya got me. I generally don't like 'em unless they're hoppy or malty.
