Do you have Bell's in your area? Their Lager of the Lakes is a good substitute. But yeah, I'll definitely miss Summerfest if it disappears.

I do have a wide selection of pilsners available in NEPA, but freshness is my main issue. I can usually find a couple fresh, but there are always a bunch that aren’t. When I see Summerfest out, I know it’s fresh at least initially. Besides that, I just really like the beer!

Yes, I enjoy Lager of the Lakes and will definitely purchase more if Summerfest is hard to come by. I just never really thought about Summerfest not being around, and it bums me out.
Back to this thread though, I am highly anticipating Celebration.

I’m looking forward to this one, as always. Piney, old school WCIPAs always do it for me.

Sad to hear about Summerfest but unfortunately not surprised, as the rumors started soon after it came out this year and it did not seem to sell as well around me this year; a relative grabbed some recently with an April bottling date and at least it held up pretty well.

I do not get the Celebration hype at all and this beer never did it for me no matter how many times I have had it but I am glad people enjoy it and when I see it on the shelves it is a sure sign that the holidays are quickly approaching.

And speaking of, the holidays are going to be hella weird this year. I generally don't enjoy between Thanksgiving and New Years for various reasons and this year is going to be extra whacky.

Well, it is not 'officially' gone. Maybe some business leaders of Sierra Nevada are monitoring social media (i.e., BA) and will be influenced here?
You are more confident here than I am but I very much hope you are correct here.
Always prudent to have a 'Plan B'. My strategy is that I homebrew three different batches of Pilsner every year: Bohemian Pilsner, Classic American Pilsner, and 1896 Michelob. Plus when I hanker for a German Pilsner there are a boat load of locally brewed high quality German Pilsners available for purchase.

I sincerely hope that Summerfest does not go away for you (and others) but....

    Cheers!

I predict space aliens will deflect a giant killer asteroid to earth and the impact will trigger a super volcano plus massive earthquake which will, in turn, unleash Godzilla, but not until the national election results get held up in court battles. I'm not a pessimist....just a realist.

Yeah, I already bought some N'ice Chouffe and SS Winter Welcome. I am holding onto the Chouffe until mid November or a snowfall, but I am drinking the Winter Welcome now. Works as a fall English Ale IMO, and only 2.5 months old at the moment.

Does anyone know of the actual release date? It should be hitting the shelves soon.

Love me some celebration as long as it’s as good as the last two years. It felt like it had slipped a bit the couple years before that.

I am also really looking forward to Hibernation by the case. First time I had this last year and it was just such a great beer.

    Enjoy

That's part of the appeal, they change every year like Anchor's Our Special Ale right?

Wait, Anchor does that too? No wonder my reviews change every year -- how 'bout that.

All y'all going on about when Celebration will be out, but Northern Hemisphere is now out! The 2020 is better than ever, as it is now 100% Wet Centennial (it used to have Cascade as well).

    So f'ing good!

Sierra Nevada has definitely cornered the market on West Coast IPAs.

Too bad the market is like 10 of us.

Are they really so rare back east? They ate very much alive and well out here but I can never tell just how tongue-in-cheek the folks from.back east that complain about their absence are.being

How much is this going for this year in your area? I passed on it the last few years because it's been very pricey in my area.

It's not my favorite style so I probably don't pay as much attention as some others but I don't have any issues coming across them...at least I don't think so?
