So I was on the new Seirra Nevada website today and noticed under the year-round-offerings, they had Chico Wheat listed. Is this new or only available on the West Coast? http://www.sierranevada.com/beer/year-round/old-chico-brand-crystal-wheat/
You are correct. Only available in Chico and parts of Northern California as sort of a locals-only brew. -B
I got lucky and a friend brought me a 12 pack from there. Good stuff! I would buy it often if it was available.
I saw cases of this recently at my local spot. I was curious about it. Imma pick up a 6er soon. I'm sure I won't be disappointed
It's local distribution only. I think for a while it was Chico only, and it was only available in summer, but apparently it was popular enough that they expanded somewhat. SN does some other local only releases. Like, right now they have a belgian christmas ale out called Visions of Sugarplums or something like that. AFAIK it's only available in Chico.
