I was just in Chico, CA this weekend and picked up a few bottles of Double Dubbel at the Sierra Nevada brewery for $15.99 a bomber. Pretty good stuff but not convinced I like the brandy aging of beers. What do you think? I got a few to trade too.

Here's a better pic I found of the bottom of the bottle that states its aged for 2 years in brandy barrels prior to bottling:

$15.99 a bomber? You could get a growler of it for $20.

I was there this past weekend and had one. I thought it was good. Only complain would be that is was a tad sweet. I thought the brandy really brought out the raisin/dark fruit flavors.

Wow, didn't know they did growlers of their BA stuff. Oh well, bombers make it convenient to trade.

I think it is very nice. I like how much barrel flavor they got, and I think it really compliments the beer. It is also surprisingly light for being over 10%.

I really need a Chico connection that frequents the Bay Area for IP trades (hint hint).
