My local shop has a few 2012 left, are these supposed to be good with age?

    No. It's all about freshness.

It probably won't be horrible, but not what it should be.

Much better fresh I'm sure and they are super expensive for what they are.

I'd probably leave those on the shelf. In fact, please BM me, and let me know where you saw them, and I'll see if I can't get it cleaned up out of there.

I bought a dusty bottle of it at a liquor store in a BCM zone last summer and while it certainly wasn't fresh, it certainly didn't suck.

I had one that was probably 8-12 months old and it tasted nice still but would love it fresh.
