I'm not Bill, but I here is SN's release schedule:

    https://www.sierranevada.com/release-dates

There are 8 variety packs that interest me. (Note the Variety packs are bottles, while the Hop packs are cans). That's 96 beers over the course of a year. Plus seasonals, high altitudes, and regular stuff. Burp.

I also noticed that this is the first year their regular Porter and Stout will not be available. I know they are already fairly scarce due to lack of demand, but unfortunate nonetheless.

From what my rep told me Bill left Sierra Nevada for Surly and to be closer to where he’s from in Minnesota. I told him I was bummed because bill was always so great to us and he said the same.

I din't notice that, but the Stout is good, low ABV, and reasonably priced. I will miss it.

Say it ain't so, is right. Ah man, who will be BA's SN point person now? Unquestionably, one of the best brewery reps on the site. If true, best wishes to Bill at Surly. His always great updates for SN were very much appreciated & will be missed. Cheers to him.

If true, Bill can change his user name to surlybill and then his previous posts that state "we" will cause tons of confusion.

Yes they are available now and they're also listed on this years release calendar as year around beers. What's being discussed is that they're not listed on next years release calendar that just came out.

It’s all true guys. After nearly 10 years, I left Sierra Nevada. I’m a Midwestern guy at heart, so I’m going home.

I start with Surly after the New Year. I respect the hell out of Surly and I’m stoked To get to work. Not 100% what to do with my screen name, as I probably won’t necessarily be representing Surly in the same way I did with Sierra. (Doing a similar job, though... new product development and brand work) I certainly don’t know the brewery (yet) as well as Sierra Nevada.

@tfs8271 is a wealth of knowledge and will serve this community well. Terence is family to me, and taught me most of what I know (in beer and in life) he should come out of the BA closet and represent with a Sierra screen name!!

Thank you all for the kind words, I was a BA before I worked for Sierra Nevada and will be long into the future. Respect!

    Bill

True story... Ken read a review that Bill wrote on Northern Hemisphere Harvest and asked that we contact him to see if wanted to write copy for Sierra... The rest is history.

Surly is one lucky brewery to have him!

If you decide to go with the SurlyBill name you better research whether Duff Brewing has a trademark here.
