Had my first SN Celebration of the season this weekend, and it was fantastic as always! Just wish I could get it canned.

Any other SN beers you really want to see canned? (I'd say all of them!)
Any you prefer to keep in bottles?
Any idea what influences SN's decisions on which beers to can and which not to? @sierranevadabill ?

I want all my beers and guns to be canned. Also want a solid gold toilet :grinning:

I'd assume volume and year round availability are the biggest factors. A lot of breweries are taking a page from the big guys and putting their beers in multiple formats in order to secure more shelf space.

Narwhal in a can would be awesome, but it might not be great for cellaring.

I say can all of them even if they were to stop bottling. Their bottles look better than the cans but it would be a small price to pay for the convenience, lasting freshness and recycling benefits.
Edit: But start with Kellerweis and the Kolsch. (And make Kolsch its own 6 and 12 seasonal.)

Better make sure Kellerweis is still around first. I heard sales were not up to par.

I believe I read it will be a seasonal. I can't imagine it would disappear completely.

Possibly, I thought I heard the sales thing from Sierranevadabill here. Either way, I hope not. I like the beer and guess I should really be buying more of it. My bad.

    Canned guns?
I barely see Kellerweis around me as it is - only at the biggest of stores - and I probably wouldn't miss it thanks to the availability of many fine German Hefeweizens... But if it were canned? I'd definitely be more inclined to buy it.

All beer in cans. I'd love to see special releases in 750ml champagne style bottles made of aluminum! Silly, but kind of cool.

@Scott17taylor I don't know why a can would not be good for cellaring, in fact it might be better than a bottle. I've had three year old ten fiddy that was delicious.

Cans make the 'BANG!' into more of a 'Pew!'

Given the BPA questions, I wouldn't want a beer sitting on that lining for years. At least glass is inert.

What is the benefit of a cooler weather seasonal in cans? The only time I factor in cans as a pro are when going somewhere glass is inconvenient or banned, like the lake or pool.

I prefer cans and wish more breweries would use them. Happy to buy any beer in cans even the belgian styles.

I go back and forth on canning. Easier to store, preserves better, and totally superior for drinking out of while walking my dog. But they always just feel wrong. I know that's just my hang up, but it's one I live with. Damn life is tough.

It wouldn't really be bad I just think it would just slow the aging process.

I love Celebration and I think with it's label art that it would look awesome in cans. All red would be festive!
