I concur. I'm drinking a Vienna lager right now.I have bought several of these packs and I enjoy this beer the most.nothing against Tumbler or the O-fest, which are both outstanding beers as well, but this Vienna lager is like eating a nice dark bread with honey on it.it's delicious!

I believe they said cans in the release. So it wouldn't be in the 12 unless its all cans......which would be fantastic....

Thanks I've been avoiding some of those beer camp and fall packs but sounds like it's typical SN. They put thought and quality into every beer they make. Beer camp: a little kisch but I'd WOULD GO! Yes THE BEST marketing in the craft beer realm. But when you can back up freshness, quality and then throw in a dash of originality and Mass produce. Without the SA overkill its saying something. The original and still one of the best......I'll! Buy the Vienna lager

I guess the real question is......would you rather have a Bitburger or a Summerfest

They did mix cans and bottles in the Beer Camp Across America box.

All depends on what I have a taste for at that moment. It's win-win because I'd have a choice.

This isn't the same thing as the nooner IPA?

I remember that tasting like FW's Pivo Pils...which this sounds like a competitor for

Hey, if this is as good as Summer Fest or Vienna...sure. Not a fan of their Pale Ale because I'm a Lager Head, but I would definitely try it!

If Morning Wood tasted better...would you pass it up because the other one has a name indicating it's suitable for breakfast? What if it were called Noon Stout. Would you have one 45 minutes from now? :stuck_out_tongue:

I've heard this is a year round offering along with the Hop Hunter IPA.
Nooner Pilsner is bottles, cans and draught. Hop Hunter is bottles and draught.

Also; Summerfest is more of a Bohemian-style and the Nooner is a German-style.

I wonder what factors in to their decision as to whether or not something will be in cans.

That it's by a southern brewery always sort of made it seem ... less humorous to me.

too bad Nooner Pils isn't closer to 4.2%, Nooner could be their session line

Wonder why they didn't come up with a new name. Guessing the IPA didn't rate well and they want to break into the growing lager market — someone over there must be extremely attached to the name "Nooner" as SN's permanent session release.

I feel the same way. My entire family wishes Vienna was around, even if just seasonally. It was my favorite of the pack.

I love SN's Lagers and Summrefest is one of my favorite beers period, so this looks awesome! It is interesting that they kept the same name as the Nooner IPA but I did not like that beer at all so I'm okay with Nooner becoming something else.

Sierra Nevada, keep on making the Lagers and I am so happy to see many new non-hoppy offerings from such a great brewery. Now don't you think that it's about time to bring Glissade back? :grinning:

I've never heard of a brewery brew a style under one name once and then a completely different style under the same name.
