Do you think they'll ever do a Wiesn-style Oktoberfest? I expected last year's team-up with Weihenstephaner to be in that style given W's Festbier, but no dice. I really enjoy this style. I wish there were more than 3 or so options.

This year's is really the first that's been more Traditional Amber Märzen than any of the past collabs. Riegele was deep gold and reminded me of Pilsner Urquel, Miltenberger was brassy and golden, according to my notes.

From my review of the Mahr's collab:
"This year's collab is definitely a Wies'n-style Festbier; clear and golden yellow with a thick and dense white head."

Maybe you didn't get to try these past collaborations, or maybe I don't know your definition of a Wiesn Fest, but I can bet that SN will probably move back and forth within the style characteristics in years to come.

Thanks! I might have missed those.
