Hate to be this guy in the thread, but as a big sn fan their latest releases have been a big snoozefest for me.

@sierranevadabill, why the limited distribution on this? Not complaining, just curious. It sounds quite good, as does everything you guys put out.

Got it in Boulder, CO a couple weeks ago. And it's still on the shelf at Hazels.

Ok, so if Ruthless was not a good enough seller to keep it as the spring seasonal, why would they add another rye IPA to their regular lineup? Answer: They didn't.

I liked Ruthless, thought it was solid. No reason to replace it with another rye IPA, makes no sense.

We didn't replace it, we made a different rye IPA for a different purpose. A large national release beer, and a small regional release beer are two different things, which serve two different purposes. What works well for one, may not work well for another.

This was a special benefit beer. Proceeds for this, help river conservation in the PNW (which is a topic Ken is personally very concerned with, he sits on the board at the Western River Conservancy.)
The point of this was to make it and offer it in the market that would directly benefit from its presence.

Which is exactly what I said. Thanks for the clarification, it made no sense to me to replace Ruthless with a new Rye IPA.
