Can't wait. I'm going to get a 12 pk of Celebration anyway, so it doesn't matter if it isn't included.

Marvel? Something that causes wonder, admiration, or astonishment; a wonderful thing; a wonder or prodigy. Really SNPA? and a side note, coffee stouts, porters and IPAs (not even close to gateway beers). I don't think beer camp was geared toward being a introduction? I will buy the snow pack with the SNPA & I will drink it, but really its a dollars thing, they are a business.

Beer Camp was for the craft beer "advocates." The Fall & Winter Sampler packs are for the in-betweens - those who have delved into good craft but still are trying out new ones and looking for a unique, tasty mixed pack.

Yes, marvel. SNPA is a stone cold classic.

I don't follow the remainder of your post.

(BTW, your introduction of Beer Camp is simply a red herring. The Beer Camp pack was not a sampler in name nor intent. It was called a Mixed Pack and it served a very different purpose than the introductory nature of a sampler.)

I'm probably in the minority who likes the fact that Pale Ale is in the box. I usually get these for family gatherings and a lot of the people aren't craft beer people. Pale Ale is a beer they've had and like or a good gateway for others....or I drink them. When I buy beer, it's usually new releases and I skip over Pale Ale. I'm a fan of an excuse to get it in the house.

I truly think Narwhal is the only S.N. beer that suffers in sales when Celebration is released

Always enjoy sierra Nevada's Sampler packs , they make for great party pleasers if you've got company over that is starting to get into craft beer rather then bud or pabst

I may as well repeat a comment I made on another thread regarding the inclusion of the Porter in this pack- I really enjoy that beer, and it will be a pleasure to know I'm going to be able to have at least three fresh bottles for the first time in a while. Unfortunately that's the way things are around here lately- some genuinely good stuff just doesn't move like it should.

I have literally never seen Sierra Nevada Porter, and I assume I will get this pack, so, finally I WILL SEE IT. AND I WILL BUY IT. Sweet Christmas, finally SN put out a coffee stout. Please tell me it's along the lines of their Ninkasi collab. If it's not, please tell me that something like that (a coffee milk stout) is in the works as a FBS killer, because seriously, Double Latte was a lot better than FBS to my palate.

Sounds amazing, but the Pale Ale really? Honestly, that is my least favorite beer in their whole lineup. I do wish we could get a fully "seasonal" seasonal 12 pack. It also gives people the opportunity to try things they have never tried before, or maybe would have never gotten the opportunity to. We can get the pale ale anywhere.

It also gives the opportunity to put it back in the hands of people who haven't had it in years, and possibly rekindle an old friendship. And makes the pack a more viable option "mixed crowd" gatherings - the kind where someone may be comfortable drinking SNPA, but nothing "crazier" than that. Now you've got a little something for everyone.

Like I've said already, I would enjoy the pack more myself if it had a different beer. But there are plenty of reasons why, from their standpoint, it makes sense.

I guess I hang with a crazy crowd. We all feel the same about the Pale Ale. We Love SN but not really the Pale Ale. I have never liked that beer, even before I liked crazy hopped up beers. But I see your point, plus, it allows them to get rid of some extra.

I wouldn't refer to them as a crazy crowd.

Something to remember, this pack comes out before Celebration is even ready. I wonder if they couldn't get the spices in time to have Cele in this pack.

Are Craft beer fans these days really this averse to drinking a beer they've had before?

Keep including the Pale Ale in these mix packs, it puts a smile on my face every time I crack one!

This is the way I see it. Most of the time Sierra Nevada and the bigger craft guys will be on sale at local grocery stores from time to time. Now, as I have said, I am not a fan of the Pale Ale, but many as they have stated are. Consider this, when those 12 packs go on sale, all SN products go on sale too. So, if you are a Pale Ale fan and there is none in the seasonal 12 pack you might be more inclined to pick one of those up too. But now that there are already three in the 12 pack seasonal you really don't have the need to do so. So, what do you do? Don't buy the extra or purchase say a 12 of Celebration? Well, now I have kind of talked myself into it, I guess the argument could go either way, but. I would still prefer to see something different because we all know what the pale ale is like, why not try something new, there is some saying about variety being the spice of life.

I really enjoyed the Fall pack. It had two new beers I looked forward to trying and I was happy they included Tumbler. I'll be picking the Snowpack up mostly for the coffee stout. If it's anything like Double Latte I'll be happy with my purchase.
