Is it just me or is this beer delicious? I had it at the end of the summer last year, and it was damn good. And I just got a chance to buy a single tonight from this years batch, and again its damn good. Ratings aren't that high, but I really think this is a great pilsner. I'm not a huge lager guy, given I do enjoy them and especially seem to like pilsners. Anyone else with me? or is this just my taste?

I also love this beer. It's one of the most crisp and refreshing (and also fresh) summer offerings. It's not as hoppy as some of the higher rated Czech Pilsners, such as Noble Pils, which is probably why it's rated lower. I also love Noble Pils though. It's awesome I can get both fresh pretty much anywhere.

I couldn't tell you, I haven't seen the Summerfest in the Northern Illinois area yet. The Lake County distros strike again?

I wasn't a big fan of this last year; not bad but not great.

It's their #2 beer for a reason- it is really well made and has broad appeal. It's also really nice to see it getting a lot of play here on BA lately- hopefully a lot of the younger members will pick some up and see just how good a beer of that type (all-malt pale lagers) can be.

Oddly enough I am not a big fan. It's not a bad beer, just not my favorite. I'll drink the 6 pack I have, but probably won't buy anymore.

Too bad the Ruthless is gone, that was my favorite beer of SN's by a country mile

Love me some Pilsners in the heat of summer and Summerfest is one of the best; light, flavorful and creamy. I was just thinking yesterday about getting a mix-pack of Summerfest, Noble Pils and Alpine Spring...or maybe 2 sixers with Prima Pils, & a Kölsch in the other.

Mmmm...nothing better after mowing the lawn than a cold Pilsner.

I have been excited all year for Summerfest to come out! Most people just think it's middle of the road (for beer not the style) but I can't get enough. It's finally started getting over 80* here so I'll have to start picking up 6 packs.

    It's a very average pilsner.

I'm enjoying it more this year than I have in the past - maybe I'm just starved for good craft lagers since the demise of Glissade, but the malt seems to have more depth than in the past and is more integrated with the hops.

I love it. I already finished my first sixer of it, may be picking up a case in the very near future just to have the fridge stocked for anytime I crave it.

I join the chorus that it's just average. On the quest for the ideal 2012 American summer beer, Kellerweiss, Noble Pils, NOLA Blonde, and Stoudt's Gold top it.

I'm still drinking Ruthless Rye. Total Wines in Union,NJ has cases on the floor display. its a very good beer but yet not popular in this area.

Lucky man. Were in the mid 90's already, and this beer is quite nice after working in the hellish heat here.

I had the noble pils about a week ago and wasn't impressed. It was good, but not great to me. But this one I have been looking forward to getting again all year.

It surprised me last summer. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it, but I did. A good session beer. But I long for a Tumbler.

i love this beer...its one of those beers you drink during a hot day...the non complexity of it makes its a good "hang out beer" and it is easly accesbible to non craft drinkers
