I like both, Celebration turned me onto IPAs, Torpedo won me over.

To me Celebration doesn't get good until a year later.

Celebration was a solid decent to me. Not even near my favorite SN beer. Honestly I'd pick SNPA by a landslide.

Not sure how you could beat Celebration with anything but I am looking forward to their hoppy Pilsner in Jan.

I've enjoyed Celebration this year. In looking back at how I rated in in the past it seems my taste preferences have changed as I rated it much lower. I keep trying SNPA but it just isn't one of my favorites. I'll have to give torpedo another try as it wasn't high on my list of IPAs. Now if I can just find some more SN Stout!

    Its certainly up there.

The post/thread of the year for me is from the guy asking about a Hill Farmstead bottle he was trying to identify, saying that he only saw a tag on it and maybe some cursive writing. Good God tears were rolling down my face, I presume the thread was deleted.

I would take Celebration over Torpedo. It may be the association with the holiday's. I always look forward to the release and enjoy it immensely.

Now for the smart ass answer

given the choice between celebration and celebration I choose celebration 100% of the time.

You should try aging it longer than 6 hours.

I ran a similar Celebration v. Celebration tasting, and we were shocked when Celebration pulled out the win. So, we decided to cellar them for 2 months and then pull them out and run the same tasting again. Based on the way the beer holds up, I still would guess Celebration will be the winner, but who knows? That is why we will run the tasting. I will update the results. We may run the same test with Torpedo, and I bet Torpedo pulls that one out to...it just has better balance that Torpedo.

60% of the time, Celebration works every time!

There's something special about Celebration. Everybody here agrees too. On paper, Celebration just isn't that remarkable, but in practice, it tastes so bright and fresh and just...right. I look forward to it every year then I drink it like a madman until January. By the time February rolls around, I start looking at our production calendar for when it will start again.

I adore Celebration. It's just about the perfect IPA. It's not trying too hard to be anything else. It's just simple and delicious.
