better bang for a buck in bottles, true. but there is just something so god damn pleasing about drinking this beer (and a lot of beers) out of a tallboy

picked some up for about $8.50 for a 4pk.

    that's about 13.3 cents per ounce. equivalent to a $9.50~ 6pk. equivalent to a $2.90~ bomber.

    don't feel bad about it.

I don't think the can price is too far off from the bottles, at least out here in Oregon. The "regular price" on Torpedo bottle 6pks is $8.50-9, but they're on sale for $6.99 so frequently that I think it skews people's perception. Meanwhile, the pint cans are running $7-7.50 per 4pk.

Using the low end of the price range I tend to see:

    6pk of bottles (72oz) at $8.50 = $.11/oz
    4pk of pint cans (64oz) at $7 = $.11/oz

If the 6pks are on sale for $6.99 it works out to $.09/oz

Like I said, the 6pks are almost always on sale, but if you find yourself confronted with both options and neither one is on sale then it just comes down to container preference.

I'm getting a little fed up with this trend of 8oz theivery by all these brewers.

Store near me has the cans priced higher than sixers. Makes no sense.
