I think it spends 17 months in the barrels. So, if a new batch was laid down after the last batch was bottled, it should hit later this Summer.

It's only been released once (in late 2010). Though there is Silva sitting in barrels right now that tastes delicious. :stuck_out_tongue:

I really only have access to the stuff that's already on the shelves and am pretty new, don't know too many people yet so if anyone has any and wants to give one up.....

    Not officially. :sunglasses:

It's really one of the rarer (local) beers out there right now. I'd wait until the next official release and jump on it. Shouldn't be too much longer now.

In the mean time, seek out some Parabola and drink up!

Yeah, they said during beer week last year that it won't be released until towards the end of 2012. =(

My fingers are still crossed that they'll release that brandy barrel barleywine.

Make it to a bottle share and I'll bring a bottle.

Bought a case of the first release. First thing I ever bought by the case. It didn't last long. Bottle shares, trades, drinking them, etc. In my, and a few others opinions, it went from ridiculously awesome, to pretty good within a couple months. Was not one to age. It's already a perfect drinker thanks to the blending technique.

I'll keep my eyes open, im booked for work now until ju
E then I have to go east for a month for training so I won't really be back until July 2nd... That being said I'll hope to join one after that unless I get a rare moment or I find a generous local.. Either way I've heard great things and am dying to try it

Was talking to a worker at GF a few weeks ago about SS. Said that they hope to blend and bottle it in time for the anniversary party and/or the "meet the brewer" dinner party like that had last november.

Agreed. I'm still sitting on a few bottles and crack one every few months...it's by no means bad, but not something I would seek out if I didn't already have it. Those who are curious are far better off waiting for the new batch.
