Just wanted to take minute or two to give some love to this new place in TC. They had a soft opening last year, didn't really advertise, and they're enough off of the downtown area that you're not going to find them unless you're looking.

Had a chance to talk with the co-owner/brewer Scott while he poured from behind the bar. It's clear he's got passion, knowledge, and a focus on what they're looking to produce: clean, well-made lagers hewing close to tradition. They have some ales on tap, but he's forgoing additives and looking to keep things simple.

Most importantly, the beer was quite good, and a welcome change from the additive-filled ales found everywhere else.

Stopped there my last time up. Cool spot. Good beer.

Tough location right now with all the construction on 8th street. Hopefully, that’s all wrapped up now.

Man, I could’ve used this info 2 days ago. I’m on my last night here for a long weekend. And I see they’re not far from The Filling Station (which is probably my favorite brewery in the area).

I guess I’ll try to hit them up when I get back next year sometime.

A week too late for me as well! I had not heard of this brewery and we just got back last weekend from the Traverse City area. We hit Jolly Pumpkin Brewery which was amazing, never seen a brewery so crowded in my life. Tried to go to Shorts but their facility was closed for the season. Also hit Odd Side Ales in Grand Haven which blew me away. Nitro Hazel's Nuts was the best stout I ever had, perfection in a glass.

A couple of friends have been, said it is good.

Owned by a couple, she is from TC and was brewing in Asheville. He has technical brewery training, they met in Asheville. Went to TC to open their own place.

On my list next time up there.
