I prefer cans, 12 oz cans to be specific. IMHO, 4 packs of 16 oz cans have become a gimmick for making more money. As an example, Smuttynose went from making 12 packs of FK IPA to making 4 packs of 16 oz cans. I used to buy the 12 packs all the time but I won't be buying the 16 oz cans in 4 packs. I like the fact that the beer doesn't get light struck and to me it just tastes fresher in a can.

Since everything is poured into a glass, either is fine with me.

I like bottles because I can reuse them for homebrew - I'm not quite kegging yet.
I like cans for all the reasons stated above. Over the past couple years I've been become a Canvert

I like bottles, but more for psychological and sentimental reasons than scientific or engineering reasons. Obviously there are circumstances where cans are a must and that is fine with me.

But that eliminates cans, which are coated with a water-based polymer lining to prevent beer coming in contract with aluminum, and the majority of bottles which use crown caps that similarly have a plastic lining.

I prefer cans for most things since I usually drink from a glass anyway. Cans take up less space in the fridge and the trash, they get cold faster and they weigh less.

I'm not really sure how can conditioning or aging in cans would work compared to bottles, so anything along those lines, I would probably go with bottles.

I like to check the bottom of the bottle for sediment and swirl that into the beer for the full taste.
