I used to mostly prefer whiskey and wine over beer, but since my renewed interest in craft beer and homebrewing, I basically haven't touched anything but beer. My overall consumption has definitely increased. It's just so easy to down a couple of tasty beers in the evening.

    The same, all around.

In 1991 I was drinking a case of "Meister Brau*" a week, and . I had three other drinking roommates at the time (plus one teetotal) and a lot of people stopping in, so there was always a choice of brand in the 'fridge, including Premium domestics and Imports. Needless to say that the 'fridge beer didn't always go that far, back then! But it was college and we were pretty frugal. These days, a case of Carling's plus some imports, some larger Craft and "Crafty", some True Micro... I still drink about a case a week.

The exception to all of this was after college when I lived above a bar and worked at a liquor store. Ugh. Weekly keggers!

*It alternated with Point, Leinenkugel, and Cold Spring. But by 1992 the returnables were being filled with homebrew!

I do drink a tad more than I used too back in the bud days. I hate coors:wink:. But the taste of good beer is hard to put down some times until the wallet bites my ass. :grimacing:

A lot less quantity-wise, but a lot more frequently.
Before it was innumerable bottles once a week, but now it's one or two bottles every other day.

I never drank more than about two or three sips of beer on only a few occasions before discovering craft, so I had to go with "a lot more".

I voted for a little bit less. When I was in college in the early-mid 90's I drank pretty much any kind of beer, but we did have Pete's Wicked Ale back then so I count that as craft. If it was just me drinking, I'd pick up some Pete's or Guinness or Newcastle Brown Ale or something like that (well, and Molson and Moosehead too). But at parties, it was usually whatever BMC beer they had there so I'd drink that. But back then I would regularly drink more than I should have. Now, I'm a lot more responsible and pay more attention to what I'm drinking. That and with a lot of the craft beers I drink nowadays, they're usually a lot stronger than Bud Light is. :grinning:

When I was younger I would drink a six pack of Bud 16 ounce cans daily, and more on my days off. As I got older, I drank a lot less, I got really into craft about 4-5 years ago, drink a little more but my drinking fluctuates depending on my work schedule and other obligations.

I definetly drink more ofter and more, simply because i wanna find something new and great everytime i go out. I live in San Diego County, so there is always a new place or new beers to check out. i find myself going out once or twice a week and just trying a new brewery out. And i find myself going to Alpine on a rather consistent weekly basis. Like a junkie, im always searching for the next big "high" lol

I drink far less quantity, much higher quality these days. That said, alcohol content is a different beast entirely. I really dislike getting sloppy, so i do find myself somewhat irritated when there's more beer that i want to drink, than sobriety level to be had. But, then i remember that i feel that way because i actually enjoy what i am drinking, as opposed to force chugging to catch a buzz, and i'm ok with that.

Quality and abv have gone way up, but in terms of quantity, my numbers have gone way down since focusing on craft beer.
