I believe the generic term for this shape glass is a Willi Becher glass:

    tulip or nonic

If I can only use one, give me the tulip. It looks fancy at first, but you find over time it's very utilitarian.

Most nonics hold more than a pint, but I got a smaller one from our local brewpub Blackwater Draw that holds only 13 or so ounces. It's become my favorite glass for 12 oz. servings.

Tulip or snifter. Or snulip, or what-have-you.

I have been fond of this glass lately. It's got the tulip shape to best appreciate nose and flavor, plus a long stem to hold so you don't warm the beer, and a narrow, deep bottom which works really well as a sediment catchment for grimier beers.

SAPP or oversized wine goblet will suffice if otherwise glassware challenged in the moment...

+1 on that Spieg IPA glass (ya beat me to it), for my tastes. Snifter for pretty much everything else...

Boot. I can only drink beer out of a glass boot. Or a glass slipper, I guess.

These were pretty expensive if I remember correctly... which is why I didn't buy one.
