Cut/Paste from the previous month's thread in order to discuss their upcoming can release.

SingleCut Beersmiths - Official Website, Official Facebook Page, Official Instagram Page, Official Twitter Page

    Address: 19-33 37th Street, Queens, NY 11105

Tap Room Hours: Wednesday: 6 pm to 12 am, Thursday and Friday: 4pm to 12 am, Saturday: 12 pm to 12 am, Sunday: 12 pm to 9 pm.

Closest Subway Station: Astoria - Ditmars Blvd (N and Q Train)

Directions From Subway: Walk Northeast on 31st Street towards Ditmars Blvd. Turn Right onto 20th Ave. Walk seven blocks and make a left onto 37th street, Tap Room is halfway down the block on the right across from the McDonalds. (Approx. 15 min walk)

Parking: Street parking is available near the brewery as well as in the shopping center across the street from the brewery.

Current Tap List: Checking the official tap-room page will show the most current taplist. Pours are available in 5 oz and 12 oz. Tasting flights are not available.

Crowler/Growler Fills: SingleCut uses a crowler system developed by Oskar Blues with a CO₂ purge. They require a $2 deposit for a 32 oz fill. SingleCut uses a Counter Pressure fill system. This requires that all 32oz and 64oz growlers have a 1.125” standard threaded opening.
SingleCut branded growlers require a deposit (32 oz are $8, 64 oz are $12). Growlers from other breweries are welcome, but must follow those measurement guidelines. Not all beers are available for growler fills, please check the tap room menu board for details.

Bottles Sales: Bottles are for sale in the tap room when they are available. Notable releases are announced via SingleCut's Instagram/Twitter/Facebook. There is usually at least one bottle available for take away. Bottles cannot be consumed on the premises.

SingleCut Gear: Branded growlers, hats, glasses, and t-shirts are available in the tap room.

Credit Cards: All cards are accepted.

    Outside Beer:
Do not open bottles or cans in the Tap Room unless you have permission from the SingleCut staff. Do not drink while waiting outside on line for releases. The sidewalk is NYC property and you can get a open container ticket.

Kids and Dogs: Yes both are permitted.

Local Eats: There is a small kitchen that serves up bar food (pretzels, cheese & meat plates, etc.) as well as occasional food trucks. Looking for other suggestions.

Local Bars within a ~20min walk: Looking for suggestions.

Local Bottle Shops: Looking for suggestions.

Friday at 4pm, we'll be releasing cans of #SSMS and new IIPA Workers Are Going Home. 4pk/$20 24pk/$110.

OR you can bring a pair of unopened, new socks to the Coalition for the Homeless Sock Drive and get your case for $100. Easy call.

Love Singlecut and glad that their canning will reduce prices...
I hope that this doesn't lead to hyped to releases and lines though - in general getting bottles on-site has seemed pretty relaxed, which I understand is because they went into retail as well... Assume that's the plan for the cans, but wasn't immediately clear from the post above...

Also, wonder what, if any impact this has on what their on-site drafts and Growler fills go for... I'm nearly certain a 32oz fill of SSMS had been more than $10... Anyone with insight on that?

Had been planning on making my first trip to Singlecut around 5 pm this Friday, which I now see is their can release day. Do you think I should be anticipating a mob scene?

Would also like to see what this does to Singlecut... was hoping to get there late on Friday night to hang out for and being able to walk away with a case. Anyone know how many cases they're putting out tomorrow night?

None - can release is Friday

Also the post on their webpage says Brewery only. So no retail for cans i suppose.

I think it will be just like a normal day. Maybe a few more people walking in to grab cans.

Going by how Finback cans sell, I'd anticipate they'd be there for a week or so.

I would find it incredibly surprising if they sold out of cans tonight.

I would be shocked. Singlecut beers have been readily available in growlers and bottles at brewery with no lines. Yes, there is a move to cans and a price reduction, but if this all of a sudden creates a surge of demand, people are really brainwashed about buying beer in cans.

What do y'all think of that gift basket? I think I would rather have $30 in beer and the hat, rather than the glasses and that book.
