Figure we can get a fresh start since the old thread is too long. Utilizing the Other Half monthly thread as a template. Feel free to suggest additions.

SingleCut Beersmiths - Official Website, Official Facebook Page, Official Instagram Page, Official Twitter Page

    Address: 19-33 37th Street, Queens, NY 11105

Tap Room Hours: Wednesday: 6 pm to 12 am, Thursday and Friday: 4pm to 12 am, Saturday: 12 pm to 12 am, Sunday: 12 pm to 9 pm.

Closest Subway Station: Astoria - Ditmars Blvd (N and Q Train)

Directions From Subway: Walk Northeast on 31st Street towards Ditmars Blvd. Turn Right onto 20th Ave. Walk seven blocks and make a left onto 37th street, Tap Room is halfway down the block on the right across from the McDonalds. (Approx. 15 min walk)

Parking: Street parking is available near the brewery as well as in the shopping center across the street from the brewery.

B]Current Tap List:[/B] Checking the official tap-room page will show the most current taplist. Pours are available in 5 oz and 12 oz. Tasting flights are not available.

Crowler/Growler Fills: SingleCut uses a crowler system developed by Oskar Blues with a CO₂ purge. They require a $2 deposit for a 32 oz fill. SingleCut uses a Counter Pressure fill system. This requires that all 32oz and 64oz growlers have a 1.125” standard threaded opening.
SingleCut branded growlers require a deposit (32 oz are $8, 64 oz are $12). Growlers from other breweries are welcome, but must follow those measurement guidelines. Not all beers are available for growler fills, please check the tap room menu board for details.

Bottles Sales: Bottles are for sale in the tap room when they are available. Notable releases are announced via SingleCut's Instagram/Twitter/Facebook. There is usually at least one bottle available for take away. Bottles cannot be consumed on the premises.

SingleCut Gear: Branded growlers, hats, glasses, and t-shirts are available in the tap room.

Credit Cards: All cards are accepted.

    Outside Beer:
Do not open bottles or cans in the Tap Room unless you have permission from the SingleCut staff. Do not drink while waiting outside on line for releases. The sidewalk is NYC property and you can get a open container ticket.

Kids and Dogs: Yes both are permitted.

Local Eats: There is a small kitchen that serves up bar food (pretzels, cheese & meat plates, etc.) as well as occasional food trucks. Looking for other suggestions.

Local Bars within a ~20min walk: Looking for suggestions.

Local Bottle Shops: Looking for suggestions.

I would actually prefer if they began canning AFTER passing the health inspection

I don't think SingleCut uses that draft system explain above, I've had growlers with smaller openings filled there. They are just filling growlers from the tap handles.

Yep. Not across from a McD's either. Looks like some copy/paste from OH got left in mistakenly.

If you're looking for food suggestions to add to the list, Pye Boat Noodle at 35-13 Broadway, Queens, NY 11106 is fantastic for Thai food.

DeCicco's Armonk just got some. I'd assume it will hit Whole Foods shelves this upcoming week.

Heading out to LIC today for their can release. Now I'm thinking it might be worth my time to head over to Singlecut as well as I've never been to the tap room. What are the prices like on crowlers? I know it's an additional $2 deposit on top of the fill.

Not cheap - $12-$14 for IPAs normally (not incl. the crowler deposit). But the tap room is worth a visit, great place.

why? because no one posted for 2 days?

They have new releases 2-3 times/week. seems very necessary to me.

anyways, anyone try Harry Doesn't Mind IIPA yet?

The first post says they require a $2 "deposit" for crowlers and $8-$12 for growlers. Does that mean you can return the empty can/glass and get your deposit back? Otherwise its a fee, not a deposit.
