Selling in 12 packs is a weird move.

12 packs!?! WTH. I'm willing to bet money they're going to charge the same price they do now for discounted cases so you're actually paying the same price for less beer. If so, I'm done with SingleCut.

I don't know about the whole 12 pack situation, but...hooray to the Weezer reference. One of their best songs, too.

12 packs of 16oz cans? What?

Just share them with your friends or something. Doesn't seem like an issue - I regularly go through 12 of any given OH release.

Yea I think it will differ for each person. I personally only buy 1 4-pack of each new beer when I go to Other Half, most of the time 2 4 packs total. There are soooo many new beers coming out every week in NYC that I cant get through more than that. I would much rather not have to buy 12 16oz cans. It might keep me away form buying any of their cans unless I find someone to split with.

A lot of speculation in thread. Just because they come in 12 packs, does that mean they won't let you buy less than a 12 pack? If so, will the price per can be the same or more expensive? Seems to me they will let you buy less than 12, other breweries allow that. I guess though if they charge more for a can that would suck.

I'll take a 12er of Singlecut IPAs over lining up every two weeks at 8AM. Especially if I can purchase said 12 pack at a store rather than making the trek to SC.

It will be brewery only for the cans. At least to start.

At first I was really thrown off by them selling 12 packs. Then I thought about how fast I would throw my wallet at them if Mo Shuggie was in a 12 pack

It also seems bizarre to me that people regularly buy cases of OH but are balking at 12 packs.

I will say though, I have never seen a 12-pack of tallboys. This could be the first time this has ever been done anywhere.

That's really the only beer from them I could see myself doing this with. Especially with their recent consistency issues (Bon Bon) and the crazy variations from batch to batch for SSMS.

I like all of the IPA's I've tried from them but I've been staying away from buying bottles simply because of the price. But Mo Shuggie really blew me away for some reason. So I could see myself buying a 12 pack of that.

My question is, if say the average 16.9 oz bottle price is say $8 (just throwing that out there), would that mean that a 12 pack of one type of beer is around $96?

Yay for cans but a bit of an odd move on the 12 pack thing. Maybe they are just trying to be different? New packaging perhaps, instead of a typical plastic 4pk holder?

Aforementioned consistency issues aside, I love SingleCut, but I don't think I'll be buying these cans if they only come in 12 packs.

No. Generally the transition to cans brings a cheaper price, if for no other reason than because cans are cheaper than bottles.

If you think about buying 3 4-packs of an OH beer or Grimm, that would run from $40-60 and I guess that might be the case here, although even that sounds absurdly high to me. I know it's not quite comparing apples to apples, but 12th of Never 12-packs are under or around $20.

This whole discussion is just a big reminder how effing expensive it is to drink in NYC. I had it good being able to pick up a La Cumbre Elevated 4-pack any time I wanted almost anywhere in NM for $10.
