I was curious if anyone had an idea what a sink the bismarck would go for or even if there is anyone who values it? I know the bottle was over $100 but could it pull in a KH or some cantillons?

my thinking would be that it wouldn't pull in too much, if anything because I think its RELATIVELY available in most states, though I could be way off and I don't know that anyone would desire it enough to trade the $4$ or even relative $4$ it would warrant.

I know that I can order it for my shop(and even get it at cost) and get it at 3-4 other stores in the state, yet I've had no urge to buy it and have paid similar for other bottles of beer/wine/liquor.

Hopefully someone else can give you better advice or better yet just try it out and see what happens but it doesn't look good to me.

Probably worth a hand-bottle of Pliny induced vomit dry hopped with Summit.

Yeah that is kind of what I was thinking to. It probably is not worth the big price tag it comes with.

I had an extra bottle that I traded away last year, it was part of a box, but I think overall I got a DL for it.

It isn't considered to be very good and is really expensive. There isn't much interest and it doesn't pull anything rare. The biggest problem is the price. There aren't too many people eager to send away $100 of known good beer for a single poorly reviewed bottle. I suppose if you let someone slide on $ you might be able to get semi-limited stuff, but at that point it might be cheaper to buy what you want on Ebay.

If you want, you can search for the past threads about Tactical Nuclear Penguin. The comments made about that beer also apply to this one.

It's basically a novelty beer. Either someone really really wants to try or they don't care about it.

I don't think you're going to find many people that want it, regardless of what you are looking for, so it's going to be very tough to move. Ultimately you might get someone to bite $4$ in shelf stuff, but this is a beer I (and most others) have walked by numerous times without purchasing.

if you were willing to go 1 for 1 on a KH, i'd imagine it could get done within minutes based on curiosity and cost. heck if you wanted to go 1 for 1 with KH, converse with me i'll do that.
