Sip Cans, Vermont

Planning a trip up next Tuesday (12/23) so would be interested to see what people find as far as limits and lines, how long cans last and the like from anyone who cares to share (not sure which places are actually getting delivery this week and which will start next but any information is good information). Assuming other travelers will benefit as well.

Saw a FB post that somebody picked up some cans in Waitsfield Village Grocery today. Did delivery start this week?

 

Thanks. I did see that. Also saw in the news section that deliveries would be starting on the 18th. Found it a bit confusing to know exactly when new accounts would be served. But since it is out there, anyone know what time Sip arrived in Waitsfield locations? Coming up Tuesday and would like to make sure I don't get shut out. Will call ahead if needed but figured I could save the effort if anyone knows.

Nice. Hopefully that means plenty of inventory for the other stores this week too.

 

Made the trip today. Seems almost all accounts that are listed as Tuesday or Wednesday delivery actually received delivery on Monday. Most sold it immediately but Crossroads (Waterbury) must have saved theirs as they had 20 or 30 cases stacked in the cooler when we got there (we asked about it and they sold some to us and said they were about to put it out). So, if you expected to hit up a place tomorrow I would certainly call first.

Have to mention the Mobil station across from Mad Taco (is it the Irasville Country Store listed on the "find our beer" page?, I think so). The shelf in the cooler was empty but I could clearly see 2 or 3 full cases sitting on the floor of the cooler behind it. Asked the guy stocking the shelves it if was for sale and his response was "I don't know, ask in the office". "The Office" came out and said she had one 4-pack (an obvious lie since I had seen plenty more than that already). I was there with a friend so I asked if that meant one each. She asked if he came in a separate vehicle (and to her credit, she was nodding her head "yes"). Of course, he said yes so she grudgingly (it seemed to me) went in and got us one 4-pack each.

Only reason I mention is that having met Sean on a few occasions, this just does not seem like the kind of people he would do business with. So much the opposite of his demeanor and attitude (again, seems to me).

Anyway, great trip as always. Nice to see @iwantmorehops and run the roads of Vermont. And get some Second Fiddle, of course.

 

Hmmm, be nicer than asking if it is for sale? Like I said, only an issue at one place. I have been in the area plenty of times, it was not an issue of me being nice. But thanks for inferring that is was...
