On a more positive note, assume you hit Fiddlehead too?

I wandered around that area last Tuesday and picked up a couple of four-packs without any difficulty. The Lawson's and Alchemist deliveries around Vermont seem vaguely coordinated by day, and everyone in town was really happy to chat about which stores might have cases of each. Looked like there were a few guys from NY and a handful of others trying to hauls at every store, but it seemed like there was enough to go around for the day. So maybe you hit a couple of rough spots, but to me it looks like Lawson's have really ramped up production, so I wouldn't be too worried. (That is—if you're in the right town on the right day, as ridiculous as that feels to me...)

Sounds like you felt Fiddlehead's sale went OK. I like their operation. Hopefully the hype doesn't outgrow the capacity there too.

Didn't mean to imply that I hit more than one rough spot. The folks at Crossroads were quite friendly, I really think they just hadn't put it out yet. I thought it was cool that they probably got the delivery on Monday but still saved it. I was just surprised by that one attitude, as my buddy and I are quite friendly and generally talk with everyone we meet. Wasn't a big enough deal to ruin my day or anything. Overall, we had as much fun as we always do.

I was amazed at how quickly Village Grocery ran out of Heady. We got there at about 9am, and I think they put it out at 8:30. Pulled in and there was not a car in sight but already a sign on the door saying sold out. The guy there was super friendly and pointed us toward other places. Managed to grab a couple 4-packs at Muherons, which was all I wanted anyway.

Fiddlehead was my main reason for going up and was what I expected. The long was a bit longer than I had anticipated since they are brewing it all the time these days but we had plenty of time so it was no issue.

Make no mistake, fun trip overall for sure.

I'm heading up tomorrow (Tuesday) with a buddy. Hoping we can get get lucky with Sip and Heady. Seems like the delivery days may be a bit off with the holidays. If any has any tips, feel free to share. Happy hunting!

Was able to grab some Sip at CBC Waterbury today. Wanted to grab some other stuff but friends were in a rush so I had to go all tourist and grab and go with my 4-pack.

I grabbed some SoS cans at CBC Waterbury on my trip to Vermont. Also had it on tap at Reservoir and Black Back. Blue stone had cans Monday night. Tasted better from the can because it was probably fresher. Great beer for sure.

Any NYC people get up there for this?

Not that it really matters, but does anyone know if Sean is still brewing this himself at TR? If he's not, and production has been scaled up without him needing to be there personally to brew/oversee that would seem to bode well for the rest of New England to eventually get in on the fun.

It is being brewed and canned at Two Road Brewery in Stratford, CT.

Yes, but at least with the run of bombers/VT draft accounts, Sean was going down to Two Roads once a month to brew it himself, which as far as I know accounted for 100% of the SoS at the time. Since it seems that it's suddenly being made in much greater quantities, and given that SL is taking a much deserved break from other brewing, I'm wondering if Two Roads is now handling it themselves in more traditional contract brewing fashion, which would hopefully allow production to be scaled up to an even greater degree.
