I am going to tree house tomorrow and wanted to go to Connecticut to scoop some sip of sunshine. Where would the closest location be to get some on a Saturday? Also any suggestions on restaraunts, bars, or fun things to do in that Connecticut area is also appreciated.
Down the 395 corridor in NE Ct there are a few packys that carry it. Bs and North East wine and spirits both in Killingly. A little further south Booze barn, Pit Stop, North East wine & spirits (multiple locations) in the plainfield area. You may have to ask the clerk if they have any. If you continue southeast you can hit Beer'd, grey sail, OLBC, Cottrell, proclamation, etc. It's quite a bit of driving but I'd say worth it to hit some of those brewerys if you want to make a day of it. Also, mohegan Sun BBQ fest is today $2 macro drafts but a good time neverthless. Hope this was helpful.
Chances of you finding SOS randomly on the shelf is pretty minimal. As for other food options Camilles in Tolland about 20 mins from Treehouse is great with a solid tap list. Birch Hill Tavern in Glastonbury is also a good option about 45-60 mins from TH. Both places update on beermenus there is a chance either may have SOS but both tend to have great options on tap.
