I am sure it varies by location. We will be in Waterbury (as home base) late on a Wednesday through Saturday morning. We plan to do a Hill Farmstead trip Thursday so will not be in the area for a decent amount of the day. That timing doesn't look good for the Waterbury deliveries (buy maybe it is) so was just wondering if it was better to head up to Burlington or down toe Warren/Montpelier. How quickly do cans of these move off the shelves? I'm from CT and don't need to chase them, but am meeting a friend from Chicago in VT who may want to grab some while he's in town. Thanks
Sip moves pretty quickly, but there should be a pretty reasonable window on Thursday that it's available at Hunger Mountain. At least back in April (admittedly a slower season) it was also still on the shelves at CBC Waterbury on Thursday afternoon. Not sure when their delivery is. Always seems like there's plenty of Super Session around. Just pop your head into the usual places and I'd be surprised if you didn't find some.
Make the short trip from Waterbury to the Warren Store on Thurs morning. Visited a few weeks back, arrived at 7:45 am, first one there. Store opened at 8:00. Grab some breakfast there if you go. Sip arrived about 8:15, case limit per person. Think owner was expecting a larger drop that day, believe only got 20 or so cases. Maybe 15 folks in line that morning by time it arrived so it didn't last long. Another drop or two also in Warren on Thursday morning if want more. And still plenty of time to get to Hill Farmstead.
You should be able to get some in Waterbury at Crossroads beverage. Or Saturday mornings in Barre they release 10 cases, 2 four packs per person. I got 2 fours packs at like 2:30 last Saturday and there were a few cases left in the fridge. They also had some in Waitsfield on Saturday at the wine store.
Super Session will be pretty much everywhere. Warren Store is your best bet to get the most sip given your timeframe on thursday. The waterbury drops are on tuesday, probably will not be around wednesday afternoon but worth a shot. Hunger Mt usually gets theirs around 11:30-11:45 am on thursdays, 2 4 pack limit. Friday drops are closer to Burlington, I've never personally bought sip at those stores....www.lawsonsfinest.com.
