As the title says, I seen tix went on sale this morning. Thinking of driving up from Montreal for this one, seeing as I missed the Vermont Brewers Fest this year. Any thoughts? Is there any lodging within stumbling distance or do we absolutely need a DD? Thanks.
Driving up from Montreal? Better bring a compass! It's a great, mellow fest in a lovely spot at the little local ski area. Chairlift rides all day. There is Hostel Teverre which has deals on rooms, runs a shuttle and hosts an after-party. (Book now!!) Good local food for sale all day. Not much is under cover except brewers, so bring raingear if weather is crappy. Good times!
Me too. It's a fest I've wanted to go to for a couple years. Glad I remembered to keep an eye on the ticket release date this year.
I'll probably go to this one too. At least this one allows dogs Taking the ski lift to the top to see the foliage sounds pretty nice too.
Any other places to stay which have separate rooms for folks. I feel a little old to be sleeping in a dorm. But we have tickets, and it should be a nice day.
SIPtemberfest online tickets are now sold out. Only place to get remaining tasting tickets are at a few local pubs.
Damn, snooze and lose. I didn't expect it to sell out that fast. Now debating a run DOWN to Mule bar to get tix.
Having a hard time committing to this when the site doesn't even list what brewers are gunna be there
I've been twice. It's a beautiful location, first year the weather was awesome and had a lot of fun. Second time it was rainy and cold which kind of put a damper on it. I'll say the times I went it was very laid back and casual, not many huge lines, very unpretentious - but on that same note there are very few beers that aren't just off-the-shelf beers. Not knocking it, just a heads up!
Pro-Pig just posted they have 11 tix left. Is all VT brewers, way smaller than VT Brewfest, but more intimate. Guess there is a brewers dinner night before in the base lodge again this year. No lodging on the mountain - available down the eastern side in the Mad River Valley - Waitsfield, Warren. Or maybe the little B&B down the western side in Bristol, but driving east over Appalachian Gap with a buzz on is not recommended!
I picked up some tickets at Mule Bar at lunch. I was #13 on their list. I think there's maybe 7 left there, if each retailer got 20 tickets.
