Dude, you are awesome for waxing it!!! I wish I could make it today but my flight from St Louis to Minneapolis was delayed so I won't for sure make it... and my wife refused to go earlier today. :slight_frown:

I'll probably pick up a crowler of that BA Wild Brown of it's still there tomorrow. I have been waiting for this cake beer for a long time. Well...maybe not that long. But it seems like forever!

Just out of curiosity, were the openings on the cans covered with anything prior to waxing them or will there be a chance that the wax will get in the can once opening it if not?

Cake beer is not on until 7, the tweet from yesterday with the week schedule made it look like it was on at 3 today to me.

Hopefully some will be left tomorrow.

Thanks for the note...was about to stop by for a glass since the week schedule said 3pm. You saved me a trip on my way home. Guess I'll hope for tomorrow as well.

Just talked to Ms. Cuddy who said that she had accidentally written the wrong time and she apologized. She was pretty confident Cake Beer would last through tomorrow, so I hope that's the case because I can't stick around for 2 more hours.

I thought it was just the right amount of peppers added too. A touch of it in the nose and in the back of the throat. To me it tasted like chocolate pudding and cocoa powder and some kind of dark chocolate forest cake with those chocolate shavings.

Having been on a spiced stout bender recently (I was finally able to tr MC and Huna for the first time, and I've been drinking Bomb! for a while), it really holds its own against those.

I overheard talk about the barrel-aged release tonight, and apparently the difference is the one in the crowlers was aged six months, while the one being tapped tonight was aged for ten.

Cake beer? Maybe I'm an Irish/Norwegian mutt, but when I think of cake the last thing that comes to mind is peppers lol. Insert Ghostbusters cattle prod reference here.

Have not had this cake beer but hope to. But chile's flavor and heat is the best compliment to chocolate that nature ever produced. Sounds like this beer is heavy on the cinnamon which I am not crazy about, but the heat from the chiles is the perfect amount for the sweetness.
