Site is running slow / Site issues.

    I had to adjust our webserver settings due to an abnormal increase in site traffic. This allowed us to continue serving content, but created a slight lag. I just reverted the settings and will be monitoring performance.

    We're aware of site issues today, which is related to slowness over the past couple of days. Basically, we hit a threshold with our previous server settings and need to adjust in order to handle increased traffic.

    I'm currently investigating and exploring solutions; some of which may cause temporary service interruptions.

    In the meantime, if you experience any site slowness/issue there's no need to create new threads on this issue as it's a known and open issue.

    For the last few hours, constant pages timing out, or if they do load, has been taking a very long time (20-30 seconds after I click a link to open a thread)
    Is this happening for others?

    I checked http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ earlier and it too showed the site was inaccessible.

    (Merged threads.) This is an ongoing known issue that we hope to address in the upcoming weeks. In the meantime we'll do our best to keep the site as accessible as possible given the situation.
