For me, each page takes an extra 2 seconds or so to load, and also pegs my CPU in the process. This didn't seem to be happening yesterday. I am using IE 7. It seems like the extra time is to get the banner add at the top of the page to load. Is anyone else experiencing this? Has something changed with the site in the last day?

I haven't had any problems. I'm using Google Chrome though. If you're using IE7 on your home computer I would highly recommend switching to a more current web browser, pretty much every website will load a little quicker.

I can assure you that it's definitely on your end. The site is lighting fast a peak times now. Zero issues reported on the backend.

The banner is also in an iframe that's calling content from another server so the rest of the site loads without waiting for it.

I just noticed that banner. I thought to myself "What is that annoying spinning thing in my peripheral?" Then I looked at it and realized there was a banner promoting the American Craft Beer Festival on June 1 &2.

The forum is running just as fast for me on Chrome and IE 7 (at work) as it has been since it's been back up.

If possible (barring office restrictions), you should really upgrade IE7 at the very least or run Google Chrome for better security. IE7 is 6 years old at this point.

Closing this down. It's a user issue, not a site one. And I agree. It's time for an upgrade.
