Site Update: Rating Box

We get quite a few new users asking how they can rate a Beer or Place. The core problem was that our button and link placements weren't very user-friendly, so I've made the following changes.

• Added a "rating box" to the top of the Beer/Place page
  • Displays your score if you've rated it
  • Links to review, rate, edit, or view your rating
  • Link to add notes (do a review)
  • Want It or Got It checkboxes
• Removed the "Rate this Beer/Place!" sidebar (
• Moved # of Wants and Gots under the beer's stats
• If you're not logged in, the rating box urges you to log in or sign up
