I know variations of this have been posted before so if not interested just move on.

Assume you win a drawing or something and can have six beers provided for your fresh and in any form (draft, cans, etc) for the rest of your life. The only catch is these are the only six beers you can drink ever again.

What is your lineup? Here is mine.

    1. Helles Lager-Weihenstephaner Original: I need a quality easy drinking lager with flavor for an every day beer type of option. This is my selection but I could go a lot of different ways here.

    2. Hefweizen- Schwelmer Weizen: I love the style and need one in my lineup. Schells Hefeweizen was under strong consideration but in the end I decided to go with one of my favorite German offering from this style. Weihenstephaner and Ayinger also strongly under consideration.

    3. Doppelbock-Andechser Dopplebock Dunkel: Another style I love and perhaps the best beer in the world in my opinion here. Doesn't drink real heavy either.

    4. IPA-Surly Todd The Axeman: Best IPA I have had and I've had more than a few. Incredible citrus flavor and is highly drinkable.

    5. Belgian Tripel-Westmalle Trappist Tripel: Thought about Westy 12 and and a few other quadruples but in the end this is my favorite high abv Belgian.

    6. Imperial Stout-Goose Island Bourbon Barrel Stout: Love this beer. Despite its heftiness and abv I could drink one of these every night for ever. Need something to standup to all those great cigars I got coming in the other contest I won.

This turned into a combination of including some beers that just couldn't be left off (Andechser, Goose BB Stout) and some of my favorites from styles that I could not leave out (Helles Lager, Hefe)

Wait, six different beers with no repeating styles? or did you want us to do Lager, Hefe, Doppel, IPA, Tripel, Stout?

    In no real order:

    • AVB Blood Orange Gose
    • Heady
    • FBS
    • Weihenstephaner Hefe
    • Nugget Nectar
    • Nooner
I think I could go different ways in most of these styles, but in general I think I could drink only these styles and be happy. NN/Imperial Red could probably be changed for brown ale or doppelbock.

These questions are hard and make me glad I don't have to make decisions like this.

Hot off the "Perfect 5" thread, I love thinking about my favorite beers ever! In no particular order:

    1. Allagash White (Draft)
    2. Evil Twin Femme Fatale Brett (Draft)
    3. Olde Rabbit's Foot (Bottle)
    4. Cascade Manhattan NW (Bottle)
    5. Humidor Jai Alai (Bottle)
    6. MBCP (Draft)

Man, that was difficult. I really wanted to put a straight hoppy beer on the list like ZD or HT but I figured, if I had all the Femme Fatale Brett and Humidor Jai Alai I wanted and it was always fresh, I'd get my hop fix from those. I just couldn't imagine going the rest of my life without ever tasting a Belgian, a Brett beer, a magnificent BA stout, a world-class sour, a beer aged on cedar or a coffee beer again.

    • DIPA: Pipeworks Crimson Snapper
    • Imperial Milk Stout: Pipeworks BA Jones Dog
    • Pale Ale: Three Floyds Zombie Dust
    • IPA: Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin
    • Flanders Red: The Bruery Oude Tart
    • Saison: Logsdon Farmhouse Ales' Peche 'n Brett
I probably should have included a lighter/session style beer, but I guess the ZD or Sculpin would have to suffice.

That BA Jones Dog is the real deal. PW has killed it with the last few BA offerings.

Your list is a good one and I agree with most of the selections - especially Todd the Axeman and Westmalle but I would have a hard time keeping myself to six beers over the course of a month let alone for life.
