From a purely personal perspective, at that ABV I'd opt for the 4 pack since I'm likely to be buying it "flavors untasted." If it's on my "buy again" list I can always get more and if its on my "nice but..." list it will be easier to finish off and move on to something else.

If it were already on my "buy again" list either format works.

(Definitely prefer the 12 oz cans for higher ABV beers.)

If it's anything like 4Beans I would have no issue with that price for 6.

I can buy 4 six packs just as easily as I can buy 6 four packs. Makes no difference to me.

You are probably better off with 4 packs. I see resistance to a $17-18 six pack.

@Sixpoint if you guys are in Charlotte, why now head a little ways down the road to Asheville? I'd love to get my hands on some Beans and Resin

Any updates to 4Beans (cans) floating around Portland still as of late December 2015? Previous luck at Whole Foods, but not sure on this one.

A little late catching this, and not at all trying to sound like a dick, but where in the hell are you shopping?? I bought my first pack 4 Beans from Weiland's. Any place on Indianolla Ave will have plenty, or both Andersons. I even get fresh Resin and Bengali all the time in Zanesville.

Ha. Nah, that's OK Wes. I should have clarified. I live in Seattle and completely forgot to grab a couple packs the last time I was in Portland. I'll be back in the morning and was curious if anything might be left.

Well, I searched high & low over two days in Portland, including Belmont. I guess the saying goes, "you snooze, you lose". Won't make this mistake again.

Belmont did bring on a lot of 4Beans, but they blew it all out. I actually checked the shelves last week, and talked to a couple of the dudes there.

They also crushed our shipment of Global Warmer - just a couple of six-packs left in the cooler last time I checked. All in all, the crew there are a damn fine group of true school beer heads. Highly recommended stop for anyone in the area, and looking forward to our next tasting / sesh there.

Now that I'm starting to see Sixpoint here and there in Eugene, what are the chances of seeing 5Beans in the area? Looks like I missed out on 4Beans for now, but I'd still love to try some of your darker beers.

@Sixpoint, yea the guys at Belmont were and are wonderful to deal with. Disappointed as I was with missing out on Sixpoint's most recent Bean/Porter, I did grab two six packs each of Global Warmer & Sweet Action. Thoroughly enjoying those here at home in Seattle. Thanks!
