Sixpoint: Alpenflo Helles Lager

A fridge full of Alpenflo and Weihenstephaner Braupakt this Spring sounds damn good to me.

78 degrees here in South Jeresy per Wunderground. Damn, I wish this beer was available now or I'd pick some up on the way home from work (not that the weather makes any difference....i'd buy a nice fresh Helles if it were -15 and blizzarding)

 

Not unless they've been hiding it in the back of this store (and I don't think they have the space).

Thinking about doing one as a small batch release....would be fun to use some hops like Huell Melon and Mandarina Bavaria in there....

 

Gonna give this whirl despite my great aversion to their last lager release (Tesla). Hopefully the price point is kind, as I will not drop more than 10.99 on a sixer for helles.

 

Are you willing to purchase a 12-pack?

Sure, as long as it doesn't go north of 16.99.

 

12packs and draft will be shipping to all wholesalers next week. I personally will be doing some quality control myself next week as well. Will post pics for all to view and critique with the usual Spanish Inquisition! :-)

 

Lager lovers can be a finicky bunch, but if you treat us right we'll be friends for life.

Don't think you'll be disappointed with this one, but we are looking forward to your feedback as it hits stores this week and next....

Love the style personally, and the malt plays center stage here. Yes, there is some hop character, but its most definitely subtle. I'll need to drink a whole 12pack to give you my full assessment though.

 

Ok, now I am worried.

 

Music to my ears and soon to be my taste buds! I've been very stoked for this one since the news first broke and will be keeping my eyes peeled, if not rattling the cages at my couple of spots around town to not only find out when it'll come in, but to make sure that it does . Cheers!
