Resident flunkie checking in, this beer is outstanding, so much flavor for 5.4. This last release was outstanding. Hopefully we get some great weather for next release , will start posting weather updates soon, this release will be a great day in the courtyard.

I liked Undefined Variable a lot.
I had it last night, did a blind test against two other Galaxy beers (Green and Fractal Galaxy). I had it second to Green, but both seemed in the same league for sure to me, with Fractal a decent way back, some off tastes and maybe it needs to come together. The other person had Fractal-Undefined-Green.
Great to see this stuff coming out these days, and more to come!

Hey now....these fine folks are not flunkies, they are early adopters - in other words, they saw the greatness before all of the johnny-come-lately people pile on at the end. :sunglasses:

Seriously though, will be fun to try the UV & Posse side-by-side one month later....see how both of them evolved. I preferred UV out of the gates, but Posse may be a closer!

I think the official designation when I cut the on-line line to get early access will be “Mad Scientist”! Any you suckers at end of line want to buy my spot up front !!

I commissioned Hookit to do a study - their conclusion was that every one of @jrnyc ’s BA posts equates to on average, $17,922 of revenue for Sixpoint

Let's not forget the added value of the weather forecasts either.

The next few months are going to get pretty divergent on the formulation side though...after playing around with some hazy styles the past few months, the team has a pretty wacky pipeline of diverse offerings coming up...looking forward to unveiling those from now through the end of July...

This has me very interested in checking out one of these releases. I don't want to bring up the Sixpoint vs. other top NEIPA breweries discussion, but there is definitely a lack of different/wacky/experimental/whatever you want to call them beers in the NYC market where I can see these small batch brews really shine. I'm probably in the minority, but I'd love to see a new version of RAD for the summer months.

"I'm probably in the minority" -

We don't think you are in the minority at all. We think you are actually part of the silent majority here, who have been palate-fatigued by the nonstop barrage of a single style of beer with a very little lack of diversity. Its time to take it in a new direction.

The universe of beer is very large and expanding, so we're going to explore the outer reaches of it. There is talk of doing an entire release focused to lagers this fall as well...so much potential out there.

    cheers

@rojapa and anyone else who wants to meet up on Friday the 18th is welcome; we'll arrange the details the week of the can release (can sale goes live on Monday May 14th)

I went out for an east village jaunt tonight and I was pleasantly surprised to see Posse on at Good Beer and Undefined Variable on at Alphabet City Beer Co (one of the most underrated bar/bottle shops in nyc!!!). If you're going to rep Brooklyn (and NYC) as hard as Sixpoint does, there better be some damn local presence that's not just the basic portfolio!

Was thrilled to have Undefined Variable at Gingerman last night, I am down to my last 2 cans so a nice bonus to get some on tap. They also had V Righteous on tap but didn’t get to it. They also had a lovely German sausage platter, the krainerwurst was awesome.

There actually is a significant local presence of red hook draft, but 1) its in very high demand and 2) we have to scatter it across a large number of places (NYC is very large!), and 3) we often send a small amount to some very loyal customers outside the five boroughs. And you are right about ABC; they are most definitely underrated as a quality spot.

If you can make it to the May meetup, we can introduce you to some of the crew who work directly with a lot of these people.

I'll never forget delivering our very first kegs to the Ginger Man waaay back in the day....the closest place I could park the Sixpoint distribution van was about 2 blocks from the bar. I ended using the handcart and pushing the first keg all the way down Madison Ave and then 36th Street, and then going back for the second keg. By the time I came back with the empty kegs to the van, it was ticketed and about to be towed! Fun story about what happened to that van, but I'll save that for another time....

Alpenflo is pretty awesome. I think I like This Town more but probably just a personal preference, both real crispy. Going in the vacation cooler in a few months.

curious if you like other lager styles, such as MaiBock or Kellerbier or Oktoberfest...we're working on a lager-themed release this fall....this is a realm of beers that has boundless potential to explore....

I generally like the latter two. I prefer sub 6% beers by and large.

    Sounds tasty!
